Once a month, my blogging friend, Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom, and I share what we each have been "Currently" been up to in our lives. Today's Currently post is a way to share details about our lives beyond our usual DIY, recipe, fashion and craft posts. What I've Been Up To I can't believe how quickly this year is flying by! I wish it would slow down a little ... my twin daughters are graduating from middle school this year, and I'm not ready for them to start high school yet! Yard in Bloom Outside my home, everything is in bloom. I planted some peas a few weeks ago and they Continue reading...

12 Months of Goals — March
Last year, I set three goals for myself every month, and it helped me to get a lot done! This year, along with my friend Carrie from Curly Crafty Mom, I've decided to just set one goal each month so I can work on achieving bigger accomplishments. With spring starting next month, I've been thinking about my garden! In March, I'd love to enclose my raised garden beds and plant some peas! Dreaming About Digging in the Dirt I actually have a few gardens. I usually plant annual flowers in my front yard every year. In my southern side garden, I have a mostly perennial garden. In Continue reading...

Four Easy Wooden Crate Projects
Thanks to Thompson’s Waterseal Waterproofing Stain for sponsoring this post by providing the waterproof stain used on my new bench and crate table. All opinions expressed in this post are 100% my own. I've been obsessed with wood crates recently. They are sturdy, inexpensive, and can serve multiple purposes in the home. I started out by using wood crates to create much needed shelving in a coat-closet-turned pantry. I've discovered that by simply screwing a few crates together with some wood screws and a screwdriver, I could put together functional and really sturdy shelving in a Continue reading...
Coca-Cola Bottle Summer Blooms
Happy Summer! I can't believe that summer is already here! A few summers ago, I planted beautiful perennial gardens along the south and east sides of my house. There I planted a wildflower mix, roses and lots of lilies. I really enjoy lilies! The photo below shows the yellow roses that bloom in my home's front garden bed. The roses bloom throughout the summer -- that is, if I remember to water them frequently! I often also plant sunflowers in my home's southern garden. Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers! Throughout the summer my garden produces lots of Continue reading...
