Welcome to the Taste Creations blog hop! Every month, my blogging friends and I get together to share delicious recipes. This month, we are sharing ice cream and sorbet recipes! For today’s get together, I whipped up a batch of fresh homemade strawberry sorbet. Yum!
My sorbet recipe literally couldn’t be easier to make! You only need three ingredients for this sorbet: fresh strawberries, water and sugar! I got my sorbet started in a food processor, but you could probably use a strong blender, too.
Strawberry Sorbet Ingredients
2 pounds fresh strawberries
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
Strawberry Sorbet Instructions
Add fresh strawberries, sugar and water to a food processor or strong blender. Mix until smooth. Transfer the strawberry mixture to a covered container. (I used a covered glass bowl.) Store in the freezer and freeze for 4 hours.
Remove the strawberry mixture from the freezer and whisk the mixture until it has a slushy consistency.
Freeze for at least 4 hours.
When ready to serve, let the sorbet sit on the counter for a few minutes so it can soften up a little so you can easily scoop it out. Fill bowls with small scoops of sorbet and serve.

What a fabulous way to showcase the amazing flavor of summer fruits! I’ve never made sorbet before, but I can’t wait to try it! I love that I don’t need an ice cream maker to make it.
