As a mom with a to-do list that’s too long and a big list of stuff to remember, I love anything that can give my frazzled brain a break! That’s why I adore the new TINE (pronounced “Tiny”) tags. These free little stickers are available when you download the free TINE app – the TINE tags make it possible to add messages, photos and video to just about anything!
To use these TINE tags, just stick your TINE tag where you want it, scan the TINE tag with the TINE app, record an audio, photo or video message, and save. Anyone who scans the tag will see or hear the message you saved, and will be notified each time the TINE tag is scanned. (That way they’ll know if new information is added to the tag.)
Recall Passwords with TINE Tags
I spend a lot of time online, so there are lots of passwords to remember for all the websites I use! To make life easier, I wrote up a list of the sites and my passwords and saved it to a TINE tag. (I created the list and took a photo of it.) Then I scanned the list with my TINE app on my phone. To the list I also added the name of our home’s new wireless router and its password. Now, when I need password information for my laptop, all I have to do is scan the TINE tag with my phone, and I’ll have the needed information at my fingertips!
Fun with TINE Tags
There are a lot of terrific ways to use TINE tags. Fun extras can be added to greeting cards by sticking on a TINE tag and adding video or photo to it! My husband and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary this month, so I might try using a TINE tag or two to make the card I give him extra special!
TINE tags are also a wonderful way to add a special element to thank you notes. My sister is getting married over the summer, so maybe she can use the TINE tags for her thank you notes!
You can also add an interactive element to a storybook or to a scrapbook by recording videos and adding them to TINE tags. I love this idea!
I’ve read of other great ideas for TINE tags, too — I’ve read of how users can take a photo of the contents of a box and then attach it to the box once it is sealed. Then, when the box is stored in an attic or basement, all you have to do is scan the TINE tag to see what’s inside without actually tearing the box open. Smart idea!
