I am a T-shirt and comfy socks kind of gal. At the end of the day, I don’t kick off high heels to reveal a perfect pedicure, I throw off my sneakers to reveal a pair of perfectly comfortable socks!
It can be hard, though, to find a pair of socks that’s well fitting and comfortable. In the past, I’ve purchased seemingly comfortable tennis socks, but those never seem to stay on my feet! Also, now that my daughters are tweens and wear about the same size socks as I do, I can no longer tell my socks apart from theirs! I wind up giving my socks to them! In recent months I have been in desperate need of socks.
I am glad that I came across Gold Toe ‘Oh. So. Soft’ socks (#OhSoSoft)! They look and feel good, and with the gold toe on the socks, there is no mistaking my socks for my daughters’ socks! LOL
5 Simple Ways to Relax
Since I am all about comfort, I love finding ways to add at least a little comfort to each day! These are 5 easy ways I’ve found to sneak a little bit of comfort and relaxation into my daily life!
1. Slip Into Something Comfortable. This means something else to each person, but “something comfortable” to me means a nice pair of socks! My “Oh.So.Soft” Gold Toe microfiber socks have just enough flexible spandex and feel silky smooth. They comfort my often aching feet! They are an affordable luxury I can treat myself to every day!
2. Spend Time with the Ones You Love. For me, spending time with folks most important to me — like my husband, tween girls and special friends — can do wonders! Even if I just chat on the phone or text for 5 minutes with a good friend, it can really turn around an otherwise bad day.
3. Take a Walk. I don’t do this enough, but on a tough day, if I get outside and take a short walk to a nearby duck pond in my neighborhood or enjoy looking at my neighbor’s flower gardens along the way, I can feel the stress melt away.
4. Sip A Cup of Tea…or Java. One of my favorite ways to unwind is to brew a perfect cup of English Breakfast Tea and top it off with some cream and sugar. Sometimes just sipping a cup of tea can be heavenly for me! My husband might not feel the same way … he would prefer a good cup of coffee. But whatever works!
5. Do Something You Enjoy. Even if I can spend 5 t0 10 minutes doing something I enjoy, it’s a real mood lifter! For me, that might include playing the piano, gardening or picking up a good book (I am really into The Selection series right now. I am on book three.)
What do you do to add some comfort to your day?

I really enjoy a good cup of hot tea, too! In fact, I just sat down to enjoy one right now. 🙂 I have not heard of The Selection books, I will have to check those out. Oh, and I LOVE Gold Toe socks! I buy all of my hubby’s socks and I always try to get him Gold Toe socks… and, I get them for myself, too!

Hi, Carrie! We have the same likes — hot tea and Gold Toe socks! No wonder we are blogging buddies! You should check out The Selection series. It’s a fun, summer read. It’s like a book version of The Bachelor TV series! 🙂
