Welcome to Thursday Fashion Files with Jill at Doused in Pink and Carrie at Curly Crafty Mom! We are excited to have you here and would love to have you link up one of your latest outfits with us.

I am so happy to be co-hosting Thursday Fashion Files with Carrie and Jill! To tell the truth, I am not always the most fashionable person – I tend to immerse myself in my husband and my kids and my home decor projects. I sometimes forget about what I am wearing! I have been looking to change that recently, and have been updating my duds! So, I’ve been following Carrie at Curly Crafty Mom — she and I became blogging friends a few months ago, and I’ve found that she has some really helpful posts on fashion, including this fun linky party! (She also has lots of great craft and decor ideas, so be sure to check out her blog, Curly Crafty Mom!) I’ve also recently discovered Jill’s blog, Doused in Pink, and she has some great fashion ideas, too!

This past winter, my clothing ensembles usually included a scarf and a vest, like this:

I usually wore solid shirts under my vests, but after seeing some plaid tops on Carrie’s and others’ blogs, I decided to give plaid a try. I put together this ensemble:

Now that spring is (hopefully) almost here, I will be dropping my vests and scarfs for lighter, more spring-like fashions! My daughters and I had had fun together this past weekend shopping for spring shoes. We all got some fun canvas sneakers in pretty prints. These are the ones I chose:

This week Carrie welcomes Lauren Kim from Mom Home Guide as the Thursday Fashion Files Guest Co-Host! Carrie met Lauren when they both signed up to do a gift exchange through Clever Girls! Carrie will never forget the adorable pom pom wreath that Lauren sent her in a HUGE box along with a lot of other goodies! They have kept in touch ever since the gift exchange, which has been a lot of fun! You should check out Lauren’s blog, she is a craft/DIY blogger and wanted to share a fashion post today. Lauren Kim is a great blogging buddy, she is always so supportive and Carrie is glad to know her.
