Now that my daughters are in middle school, I have an exhausting schedule. My husband often works late, so I stay up past midnight so we can catch up. I get up with my girls at 6:30 a.m. to prepare breakfast before school. I often only get about 5 hours of sleep a night!
I make a big breakfast for my kids so they have something to keep them going until lunch time. Breakfast often includes eggs or grilled cheese. My kids start school before 8 a.m.!
Once my husband and kids are off to work and school, I make breakfast for myself. I prefer to have something lighter and easy to make for breakfast. (I don’t mind making the effort for my kids’ breakfast, but I don’t want to have to put a lot of work into my meal.)
My Morning Smoothie & Vitamin
I like to make breakfast smoothies for myself. Lately, I have been into to chai tea, so I’ve been making chai banana smoothies! I love the combination of the banana, Greek yogurt, cinnamon, ginger and cardamom spices. Plus, the tea lends some caffeine to my smoothie, which I need in the morning!
This smoothie is a great time-saving morning hack — this way, I get my tea, caffeine, and morning smoothie all in one! Awesome!
I like to take my daily vitamins when I drink my smoothie. I am not always the best about getting a rounded diet, so I think my daily vitamins are essential!
I particularly love Centrum MultiGummies and Centrum Vitamints — I love that I can enjoy one of the MultiGummies or one of the Vitamints. The Vitamints are like delicious mints and come in a really great tasting raspberry flavor. I really love the new and delicious raspberry flavor of the Vitamints — the raspberry really does taste terrific! The fruity flavor pairs well with the banana and the chai in my smoothie!
I am glad to have my own vitamins — I used to take my kids’ gummy vitamins when they were small because the vitamins were so yummy! Now I have my own MultiGummies!
Breakfast Banana Chai Smoothie
These are the ingredients I used in my breakfast banana chai smoothie:
1 Chai tea bag (use this to brew a cup of tea)
1 Mug of Hot Water (I used 1% milk)
1 frozen banana
1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
This recipe couldn’t be easier! Use the chai tea bag to make a cup of tea. Then combine the tea with your other ingredients in a blender and whip until well blended, and enjoy!
Walgreens & Vitamin Angels
I purchased my Centrum vitamins at my local Walgreens. I like shopping for vitamins at my local Walgreens, because I can run in, get what I want, and get out quickly. That’s an extra plus for a busy mom like me! I found my vitamins easily in the vitamin aisle at Walgreens.
Walgreens is working together with Vitamin Angels and their “Get Vitamins Here, Change Lives Everywhere” campaign. With every vitamin purchase, Walgreens makes a donation to Vitamin Angels. Vitamin Angels provides vitamins to undermourished children around the world. I like that my vitamin purchase can help improve childrens’ lives!

This looks so, so good! I love drinks with bananas, but I don’t normally eat bananas by themselves. I really want to try this soon! It looks refreshing and delicious!
