Now that fall has rolled around and my daughters are back to school, I’ve been looking for better for me snacks and ways to give myself a treat now and then. With the weather getting comfortably cooler, I sometimes like to enjoy an afternoon snack by my home’s beautiful patio pond, enjoy a book or magazine and take in some fresh air.
My family and I love Korean food and other Asian-inspired cuisines, so I was thrilled when I discovered Lorissa’s Kitchen Korean Barbeque and Lorissa’s Kitchen Szechuan Peppercorn premium beef strips . The high-protein strips are 100% grass-fed beef. The delicious beef strips are low in carbs and have no preservatives, MSG, growth hormones or nitrates.
The Lorissa’s Kitchen Korean Barbeque Beef really tastes like Korean barbecue, with soy sauce, caramelized sugar, onion and garlic. Lorissa’s Kitchen Szechuan Peppercorn Beef has a bit of spice with black and Szechuan peppercorns. Yum! I like that one serving size is just 80 calories.
I’ve also recently discovered Honest Tea®. I chose the Organic Honey Green Tea. The tea has real-brewed green tea leaves with organic cane sugar and a touch of honey to make it just a tad sweet.
I’ve been looking for ways to take better care of myself this fall. I’ve been walking 2 miles a day for at least a few days a week and scheduling more “me” time. I’m also working to incorporate better for me foods in my diet. The other day, I put together a tasty beef, cheese, and fruit plate together with Lorissa’s Kitchen premium beef strips and spent some me time out by my patio pond.
Beef, Cheese & Fruit Plate (with Honey Green Tea)
1 Package Lorissa’s Kitchen Korean Barbeque Beef
1 Package Lorissa’s Kitchen Szechuan Peppercorn Beef
Tangerine
Grapes
Crackers of your choice
1 bottle Honest Tea in Organic Honey Green Tea
The appetizer plate I made is easy to put together. To assemble the appetizer plate, place a decent snack portion of Lorissa’s Kitchen Szechuan Peppercorn Beef premium strips and/or Korean Barbeque premium beef strips in the center of the plate. You can also add some cheese cubes, crackers, grapes and fruit. (I chose slices of tangerine.) Pair the beef, cheese and fruit plate with Honest Tea in Organic Honey Green Tea. This appetizer plate is so delicious! I used a log round available from Walmart (where dishes are sold) as my appetizer plate.
I liked this snack so much that I’m going to buy a few extra packages of Lorissa’s Kitchen premium steak strips and Honest Tea. I like to invite my girlfriends over sometimes for appetizers and refreshments on the patio. This is something that everyone will like that I can always have on hand.
I’m also hoping to take a mini fall trip with my family this fall, and these snacks would be perfect to pack for our car ride, too.
I found the Honest Tea in a mini fridge in the checkout area of my local Walmart.
I found the packs of Lorissa’s Kitchen Korean Barbeque and Szechuan Peppercorn beef strips in one of the aisles of the checkout areas. I am looking forward to picking up some more the next time I am at my local Walmart!

My me time usually comes at the end of the day when the kids are tucked in bed and I collapse with a good book. 🙂 I’m hearing a lot of people taking mid-day breaks, though, and maybe if I snuck one of those in there I wouldn’t be so exhausted by the end of the day!
