For everyday wear, I’ve been wanting a few pair of classic earrings that I can put on nearly every day, no matter what outfit I have on.
I wanted the earrings to be gold ones, too, since my ears tend to be sensitive to earrings that aren’t gold. So recently, I got three pairs of gold earrings from Aurate, classic stud earrings and some hoops—a pair of 14K gold-ball earrings, a pair of white-gold ones, and some skinny gold huggie earrings. The earrings are quite beautiful and well-made—I’m very happy with my choices!
Together, my earrings make a capsule earring wardrobe of sorts—with them, I’ll have something that I can quickly put on in the morning, and they’ll look great!
Classic Earrings and a Capsule Wardrobe
Lately, I have looking to simplify my routine and declutter my wardrobe; I have been reading about capsule wardrobes and would like to put together one of my own. I came across the capsule wardrobe suggestions from The Mom Edit, which really appeal to me.
Like Sarah, I also like to wear clothing that isn’t too warm (thank you, menopause!), and that is comfortable, made of mostly natural fibers, and is mostly casual since I work from home as remote writer. My wardrobe has to look good on Zoom calls so I’ve settled on generally having a few quality T-shirts (mostly black ones from Old Navy), some yoga pants, and few cardigans and long-sleeved tops I can throw over them to switch and jazz them up a bit. I’m not worried about shoes too much since I work from home five days a week—I only need a supportive pair of sneakers for my walks with my Shih Tzu puppy.
I browsed some tips from The Well Dressed Life about how to create a jewelry capsule to go along with my wardrobe capsule. Megan notes that gold-ball studs are a good jewelry item to own, and she shares some small hoops that look like my new Aurate huggie earrings, so I must be on the right track!
Know that I have these perfect gold studs and huggie earrings for everyday wear, I’m thinking of getting a stud earring organizer to hold them. I already have a mini travel case for my jewelry when I travel—so a stud-earring organizer that fits into my case would be ideal. If you know of a way to organize stud earrings for both at home and travel, I’d love to hear from you! Pease share comment in this post.
