Thanks to Tuttle Publishing for gifting me the origami craft sets reviewed in this post.
Welcome to our DIY/Craft Link Up Party! The party is held every Sunday at 8 p.m. Central, 9 p.m. Eastern time. Be sure to stop here each Sunday for the fun!
This week’s feature is the Stylish Entryway by Sandy a La Mode. I love how she styled her space with a family photo gallery wall, succulents and gold accents. I also like the baskets for storage, and the seat for putting on shoes! I think the decorative vent cover is a nice touch! Be sure to stop by my Creative Corner co-hosts’ blogs to see what they picked as their feature this week. We each pick a blog and project to feature from last week’s Creative Corner party.
Weekly Recap
Mom Home Guide has been nominated for an award in the Amara Interior Blog Awards! The awards recognize bloggers who feature home decor, design and crafts. If you could put in a vote for Mom Home Guide, I’d appreciate it! (If you tweet or share this on Twitter or Facebook, tag me, and I’ll share your tweet or post!)
In the mail I recently received two cute origami kits from Tuttle Publishing: “Origami Peace Cranes” and “Origami City.” My daughters are too old for the “Origami City” kit, but the kit would be perfect for a friend’s cute little boys. My daughters and I can have fun making the peace cranes for The International Day of Peace, which is September 21. The day was established by the U.N. in 1981 and is now celebrated by the world. In the book, “Origami Peace Cranes,” author/illustrator Sue DiCicco shares a sweet multicultural story about friendship and making a difference in one’s community.
Now it’s time for the party!

Ready to share what has been motivating you this past week? Link up a recent post of yours that motivates you to create or just be awesome! Our goal is for this link up to focus on craft, DIY, & home posts, so please try to remember that when linking up.
- Limit three links per week and remember to link directly to your post, not your blog.
- Do not link stores, giveaways, or other link parties.
- Be sure to hop around some of the other posts that have been linked up to share the love and get motivated by what others have been up to.
Each week, your hosts will choose a post to feature from the previous week. If you want a chance at being featured, you must follow all of the hosts in some way. By linking up, you agree to let each host share your photo and link back to your site, as well as receive a weekly e-mail letting you know when the party is live. We will never give your e-mail or info to anyone, nor will we spam you! The Creative Corner link party goes live Sunday 6 p.m. PST and ends Thursday at 5 p.m. PST. By adding your links, you are stating that you have the proper licensing/rights to the images in your blog posts.
