Did you ever notice how a scent can bring up memories of a home? The smell of fresh laundry reminds my children of a friend’s home, while the aroma of incense reminds me of another friend’s home. And funny enough, the scents that a certain mouthwash and a particular soap have remind me of my paternal and maternal grandparents’ homes.
Realizing how important and powerful scent can be in creating the feeling of home, Air Wick is launching its Give the Gift of Home campaign. The campaign, which celebrates Air Wick Life Scents™ Holiday Collection, includes a donation of $250,000 to families in partnership with Habitat for Humanity — this donation will help more families have a safe and happy home. That’s a wonderful holiday gift!
Air Wick Life Scents™ Holiday Collection includes scents perfect for enjoying the holiday season at home, like Spiced Apple Crumble, Snowflake Vanilla Cookie, Emerald Woodland and Berry Cool Winer. The scents are available in plugin refills, Freshmatic® Auto Spray Refills and candle and wax melts.
I was lucky to receive an Emerald Woodland and a Spiced Apple Crumble candle from Air Wick, just in time for the holidays! I love the fresh, clean scent of Emerald Woodland, and Spice Apple Crumble falls into a category that I love when it comes to scents and candles – those that smell like food, especially those that smell like baked goods. Yum!
I love Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building healthy, affordable homes for families. In fact, a Habitat for Humanity Home is going to be built right in my town!
I found the below Air Wick Give The Gift Home video to be very touching. It shows how heart-wrenching it can be to leave a home — and the memories — that one has created through the years with a spouse and a family. The video also demonstrates how individuals were able to recapture the scent of their former homes (and hold on to the memories) through the present of a custom-created candle by a very talented parfumier! Enjoy!

I bet the spiced apple crumble candle smells good! I can’t imagine having a talented perfumer develop a candle with a smell of one of my former homes, how neat.

Hi, Carrie! I love the scent of the spiced apple crumble candle! I think it would be cool to have a custom candle especially made for oneself!
