I’ve been working hard to organize my kitchen, but as any mom knows, keeping a kitchen neat and organized is a never-ending job!
I recently organized a cabinet in my kitchen, with fairly good results. Using cloth organizing bins, I organized all the pantry staples that I store in there — stuff like soup, canned vegetables and snacks for the kids. You can read more about my pantry cabinet in my post, Organization Spree: The Kitchen.

K Cup Refreshment Center
This fall, I also got my husband a Keurig (K Cup) coffee brewer, so I’ve also created a mini drink station on our kitchen counter, complete with the Keurig coffee maker and a mug stand that holds our extra large mugs, since we like BIG cups of coffee, tea and hot chocolate (we can make all three with our Keurig) in my family! A long skinny drawer nearby is the perfect place to store all our K Cups. (I never knew what to do with that drawer before!)

Home Organization 101 Contest
Inspired by the Home Organization 101 – The Kitchen Challenge on the blog, A Bowl Full of Lemons, I decided to repurpose and refinish a cabinet that I found in my home’s basement. (I think it was once a night stand; there a few pieces of old funirture in my basement that my husband and I have inherited from family members.) Since the countertop and cabinet space in my home’s kitchen is limited, I’ve never had much room to store my spice collection. I figure that the cabinet’s long, narrow drawer would be the perfect place in which to store spices.
So, today I worked on sanding and spray painting the cabinet, and I added a new cabinet pull, as well. Stay tuned tomorrow for my repurposed cabinet reveal!
Hi! I got through your site via google when I was searching about broken Keurig cups… 🙂 you got a very inspiring post. I’ve been trying my best to re-arrange our home’s kitchen and living room for more than a week now and there seems to be a lot of things to do yet. I love your “beverage” area, I’d like to set up something like that in our kitchen too! it seems such a great idea. I think my husband will love it!!
