Weekly Recap
My daughters went on a school band trip last weekend to Hershey, PA, and one of my daughters came home with a fever and a cold. I kept her home from school two days after the weekend, but then I got sick! So this week has been a bit slow for me, and some of my projects have been put on hold.
But, last week I did reveal my new master bedroom bed linens and decor. I love the new spring look to my home’s master bedroom. (Stop by the post for the full reveal and more photos!)
Friday night I took in the British movie, “Urban Hymn” (NR) with my husband and teen daughters. (The movie is in theaters and on demand.) “Urban Hymn” follows the circumstances of Jamie, a troubled teen girl living in a London group home. Her amazing singing ability is discovered and nurtured by her social worker. The social worker’s dedication and care eventually helps the girl to rise above her dire life circumstances.
I enjoyed the movie and really liked the music and singing in the movie. Jamie, the main character, has a real sweetness to her, and the movie touchingly shows how a rough family life/childhood and the environment a girl grows up in can lead a good-at-heart girl to make bad choices in her life.
Some of the scenes were a tad rough and graphic. (The movie shared the exploits of the teen girls and her troubled teenage friends and showed a sex scene and some drug use.) If I had known about the scenes, I would not have let my daughters watch the movie. So,”Urban Hymn” is a good movie, but not a family one.
Now it’s time for the party!

That Hershey trip is so much fun for the kids, but kids always end up sick! lol. FYI, the linkz isn’t working on your blog, but does seem to be working on the co-hosts’ blogs!
