My daughters loved The Smurfs movie, so they can’t wait to see The Smurfs 2 when it comes out in theaters July 31. In fact, we already have plans to see the movies with friends this Wednesday!
So, when I was offered the chance to review the new The Smurfs 2 video game by Ubisoft, I jumped at the chance. Since we have a Wii console, I asked for the Wii version of the game (the game is also available for XBox 360, Playstation3, Nintendo DS, and Wii U). My kids wanted to play the new The Smurfs 2 video game as soon as I got it out of the box.
After a brief read of the game’s instructions, my girls (who are both 10), were happily playing The Smurfs 2 video game. My girls liked the action of the game, saying it felt similar to their Mario video game. The liked how they got to choose a Smurf character to play (they played both Papa Smurf and Clumsy Smurf) and they loved the game’s graphics, which transported them to places like the Enchanted Forest and Paris. My daughters played the game together, each getting their own characters. “There are mushrooms that you jump on like in the Mario to get a high coin,” one daughter said.
The video game is readily available, and can be purchased either at Amazon.com or GameStop.com.
My girls have a camp-free, schedule-free this week, so I am sure that they will be wanting to play their The Smurfs 2 video game again!
