A pretty spring banner made with scrapbook paper

The spring countdown has begun!  As of today, there is less than one month away to spring! I can’t be more excited! I am looking forward to afternoons in the sun with my kids, days in the garden and walks in the park! So to celebrate, I decided to decorate my front door with a pretty but easy spring banner!

Until earlier this week, I still had my DIY Felt Valentine Heart Wreath up on my home’s front door. While I adore the Valentine’s Day wreath, I thought it would be appropriate to put up some spring-themed door decor instead! So, I took the wreath down and got working on some new spring decor for the front door.

The folks at EK Success/Martha Stewart Crafts were kind enough to send me a Martha Stewart Cut and Fold Punch Kit – Tulip. I was eager to try it out, so I decided to make a fun and colorful card stock and scrapbook spring tulip banner for my home’s front door!

My Martha Stuart Cut and Fold Punch Kit came with several sheets of colorful card stock, so I decided to pair them with a few sheets of scrapbook paper that I had on hand. I think the tulip shape of the Cut and Fold Punch Kit that I received is so fitting for spring!

To make my banner, all I did was use my Martha Stuart Cut and Fold Punch Kit to punch out a few tulip shapes on scrapbook paper. I cut my punched scrapbook paper into squares and glued them onto squares of card stock. Then, all that was left to do was use a hole puncher to punch a hole at the top of each of my decorated squares and string them onto a scrap of ribbon that I found, and tape my banner to the front door.

I love having having all the banner’s fun spring colors on my home’s front door!

I like how the new banner gives a fun look to my home’s front door — and the banner took only about 20 minutes at most to make! Can’t beat that!

I was also lucky enough to receive the Circle Cutter from EK Success/Martha Stewart Crafts. My husband’s and my kids’ birthdays are coming up soon, so I think it will be fun to use the Circle Cutter to craft some fun party decor!
