I decorated my home’s front door for the Christmas over the weekend. I love decorating my home for the holidays! I am always pressed for time, so I look to decorate quickly and easily. I love Command™ Outdoor Light Clips. With Command™ Outdoor Light Clips, I can decorate my front door in not much time. I don’t have to add permanent hooks to my front entrance or get out a hammer and nails.
Before I discovered Command™ Brand products, I had trouble achieving my decorating goals. I’m not adept with a hammer and a nail, and my husband didn’t want me to put holes in walls. Since discovering Command™ Brand products, however, I am free to hang what I want! Thanks to Command™ Brand products, I can easily change my home’s decor for the seasons.
Easy Front Door Garland
For my Christmas front door, I first headed to Walmart to pick up some Command™ Outdoor Light Clips. I found the Command™ Outdoor Light Clips in the Fasteners section of the hardware section of the store.
I knew that Command™ Outdoor Light Clips would be perfect for hanging the garland for my Christmas front door. The Command™ Outdoor Light Clips are clear (so they aren’t totally visible), sturdy and adhere well to smooth outdoor surfaces like the vinyl trim for my home’s front door.
For my Christmas front door decor I chose inexpensive frosted garland, turquoise snowflakes and jingle bells. I later decided to also add some plaid ribbon.
Materials
9 yards frrosted Christmas garland
Approximately 15 Turquoise snowflake ornaments
1 dozen large jingle bells of various colors
9 Yards plaid ribbon
Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol (and a paper towel or rag to apply it with)
1 package Command™ Outdoor Light Clips
Twine
Directions
Use a cloth dampened with water or isopropyl rubbing alcohol to clean the locations where you will be placing a Command™ Outdoor Light Clip. Allow the spots where you cleaned to dry before adding the Command™ Outdoor Light Clips.
Separate the Command™ Brand strips. Remove the blue liners and press the adhesives to the Command™ Outdoor Light Clips. (See below photo.)
Hang the Command™ Outdoor Light Clips on the framing around your front door.
I placed the Command™ Outdoor Light Clips on the framing just outside my front door and spaced the Command™ Outdoor Light Clips about every 2 feet. I used only 3-4 Command™ Outdoor Light Clips on each side of the door.
To hang each Command™ Outdoor Light Clip, remove the black liner from the adhesive, and press each clip firmly to the hanging surface for 30 seconds.
Wait an hour or so the adhesive can set before hanging your garland.
I hung my garland by draping the garland around the framing of the front door and tucking the sides of the garland into the openings of the Command™ Outdoor Light Clips.
I used simple twine to tie the ornaments to the Christmas garland.
I love the festive look the garland gives to the front door!
It took just a few supplies to create my Christmas front door.
This is what my front door looked like before I added the Christmas garland.
This is what it looks like now that it’s decorated for Christmas with my Command™ Outdoor Light Clips!

I seriously needed to read this today! Your front door area is SO cute! I have never used command strip hooks before, but I am definitely using these next year when I decorate my porch! I love the colors you picked and the monogram initial on your wreath!
