Weekly Recap
This week has been an extremely stressful for one for me. A yearly mammogram turned out distressing results and I just had a biopsy last week. I am hoping for positive results — or at least manageable ones.
While I wait for the results, I’ve been trying to get extra rest and sleep — during the school year, I deprived myself of needed sleep. A great help has been the OOSILK 100% Mulberry Silk Pillowcase and OOSILK 100% Mulberry Silk Eye Mask that was sent to me by OOsilk. The pillowcase, which is made from 100% Mulberry silk, is soft, smooth and comfortable, helping me to get a more restful sleep. It’s even hypoallergenic. The pillowcase is nice and cool on a hot summer night.
Really helpful is the soft and silky eye mask I received from Oosilk. Because my home’s master bedroom faces the street, light tends to get into our room at night. The eye mask really helps to filter out that light. OOsilk crafts silk sheets, silk pillowcases, night clothes and silk bedding, available at OOsilk.com or Amazon.
Silk Pillowcase and Eye Mask Giveaway
What’s great is that Oosilk will be giving a silk pillowcase and eye mask to one lucky Mom Home Guide reader, so he or she can enjoy sleeping with luxurious Mulberry silk, too! To enter, simple enter your information into the Rafflecopter widget below. Good luck!
Sayen Gardens Day Trip
My family has been a great help in trying to keep my spirits up. My aunt and a cousin visited Friday — and brought lots of food! We all enjoyed a nice meal together. Yesterday, my husband and kids joined me on a day trip to one of my favorite local places — Sayen Gardens in Hamilton, NJ. The free gardens are gorgeous, and the beautiful scenery is lovely every season. (Better yet, the gardens are around the corner from a fabulous ice cream place — Halo Pub.)
There are two scenic ponds, a trickling river with waterfall, peaceful wooded paths and gorgeous blooms everywhere. It’s also fun to visit the park because usually when we go there, we often see photo sessions going on for a wedding, quinceañera, birthday or other fun celebration.
Now it’s time for the party!
