Diy patriotic mailbox with velcro
Happy Memorial Day! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! I have been having a fun day with my family — this morning we took in our town’s Memorial Day parade together.

For the holiday, I put up a quick Memorial Day decoration on my home’s mailbox — these decorations would work perfectly for Fourth of July, too! A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to receive rolls of VELCRO® Brand One-Wrap and festive VELCRO® Brand One-Wrap ties in red, white and blue, and in patriotic prints. I thought the VELCRO® Brand One-Wrap would be perfect for dressing up my mailbox for Memorial Day! (I might leave these decorations up for the Fourth of July too, LOL.)

The VELCRO® Brand One-Wrap made it really simple to get my Memorial Day decorating done. The only extra supplies I need were a pair of scissors! Since the VELCRO® Brand One-Wrap automatically sticks to each other, I didn’t need to use any glue or tape, etc. I first wrapped a strip of blue VELCRO® Brand One-Wrap (with white stars) around the body of my mailbox. I used a white VELCRO® Brand One-Wrap tie (which has a festive star attached to it) to decorate the flag of my home’s mailbox.

I then wrapped red-white-and-blue VELCRO® Brand One-Wrap (with stripes and stars)  around my home’s mailbox post. I took long strips of VELCRO® Brand One-Wrap and wrapped them around the top of my mailbox post (letting the extra lengths hang down) to create festive red, white and blue ribbons.

Working with the VELCRO® Brand One-Wrap was quite fun and made quick work of decorating my home’s mailbox!
