As a mom, I've been obsessed with how to turn my home's unfinished basement into a useable space for my kids to play in, and it seems that a lot of moms and parents have the same concern, because the posts I’ve written about how to fix up a basement on the cheap are the website’s most popular stories!

My posts about how I’ve managed to find privacy for my home’s backyard are also a reader’s favorite. Unfortunately, I’ve had a major setback in that area, as Hurricane Sandy ripped off the privacy tarps that I had hung on my home’s fence. I will be buying and hanging some new tarps, but not until this week’s predicted storm has past!
