Here’s the details about the wreath I created, a Snowflake and Flannel Winter Wreath!
For my wreath, I used a wreath form that I had created last summer.
I created a burlap wreath form by wrapping burlap ribbon around a metal wreath form. I pinned burlap ribbon and faux flowers to the wreath to create a quick but beautiful summer wreath.
With this new wreath, I can swap out the materials on the wreath whenever I want. This way, I won’t have to make a completely new wreath each season. I used my summer wreath as the base for my new winter wreath.
Easy Winter Wreath
I recently picked up some shirt flannel fabric at my local craft store. Two of the shirt flannels were on sale, and I got the other flannel half off with a coupon, so I only paid about $7 for my fabric.
Materials
Wire Wreath Form(I used my metal wreath form, but kept the burlap on.)
Frayed strips of 3 different Flannel Plaid Fabrics
Long piece of Flannel Plaid Fabric (for hand-tied bow)
Directions
I started my snowflake and flannel wreath by cutting 4-inch strips of plaid flannel fabric.
I frayed the ends of the fabric by carefully pulling out long strings of the fabric on each vertical edge.
Once I had a few flannel strips of equal sizes, I placed each strip on the wreath, wrapping it over the wreath and pinning it on the bottom side of the wreath.
I made sure to alternate the placement of the three different plaid flannel fabrics to create a pattern. Once I had pinned on my plaid flannel fabrics, I pinned on some white foam snowflakes and tied on a bow using some of the leftover flannel.
I hung my new winter wreath on my home’s front door.
I kept the K monogram that I’ve hung on the front door the past few seasons and added a cute set of jingle bells.
I really like the look of my new winter wreath!
Be sure to check out my friends’ wreaths, too!

Your wreath is so pretty, Lauren! I am having so much fun kicking off this 12 Months of Wreaths series for the year! I really need to try a scarf wreath sometime. I love how you did pieces instead of wrapping one long piece around the wreath form. So pretty!

Gosh this is so genius. I don’t sew, barely put on a button but I could do this! I am quite handy with a pin. 🙂
Love the loop of flannel tied like a scarf around the wreath. Perfect for winter.
