Happy Thursday! Today is a fun day because today I am co-hosting this week’s Thursday Fashion File Link-up with my friends, Carrie at Curly Crafty Mom and Jill from Doused in Pink. (See the bottom of the post for the link up!)
Every Thursday, my friends Jill and Carrie share a bit of fashion to liven up the week, and invite bloggers to link up with their own outfit inspirations. This week I decided to join in the fun by co-hosting their popular Thursday Fashion Files Link Up party. Below you can link up your own fashion inspiration, or browse all the great outfit ideas shared today.
I like shopping with my twin daughters, who will both be entering high school this fall. We often start with lunch at Chick-fil-A, followed by book browsing at Barnes and Noble, and then clothes shopping at Old Navy.
I picked up a sweet garden floral boho-style swing dress at Old Navy during one of our shopping sessions. The summer dress is light and sleeveless, but when paired with a simple t-shirt and sweater, I think it would be perfect for early fall cool days.
I like to pair the dress with a comfy gray sweater, also from Old Navy. I like that many of my summer pieces can be transitioned to fall by simply adding an extra layer, and when it gets colder, some tights. I love the crochet-lace edging on the bottom of this dress.
My sweet teenage daughter and I had fun together taking these photos together on one of this season’s first cooler days. We are both anticipating the crisp days of fall and all the fun that fall brings!
I paired the dress with some charm bracelets my sweet aunt had gifted me for my birthday –a Rosemarie Collections Women’s Live in the Moment Charm Bangle Bracelet and a Alex and Ani Rafaelian Silver-Tone Initial “L” Expandable Wire Bangle Bracelet. The Red Garnet Birthstone Ring was given to me by my grandmother when I was just a teen.
I also wore a simple silver-ball necklace I wear daily. The necklace has an L monogram charm and a filigree heart charm that my good friend, Lela, surprised me with to celebrate my birthday earlier this year. As you can tell, I usually wear jewelry given to me by those who are special to me in my life.
I had a fun time taking these photos with my daughter — she always brings a smile to my face!
I’d like to thank my friends Carrie and Jill for letting me co-host their wonderful Thursday Fashion Files Link Up Party this week!

Lauren, I adore this dress! The color is perfect to transition into Fall and I love the lacy hem! Paired with gray gives it such an autumn feel. This is fun co-hosting at TTF, for sure!
