Welcome to the February Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop! The purpose of this hop is to motivate us to not just hoard pins, but to make it happen! For this month’s challenge, I decided to tackle a quick fix for my home’s kitchen. We’ve owned our home for about 15 years, and over the years, the bottom of the cabinet under the sink has started to look not it’s best. I decided to finally tackle a Pinterest project I’ve pinned a long time ago — tiling the bottom of the cabinet with inexpensive peel and stick tile. I picked a neutral travertine-style tile.
This is what the area under my home’s kitchen sink looked like before my project.
Didn’t it look terrible?
This is what the area under the sink looked like after installing four 12-inch by 12-inch tiles at less than $1 each.
I cut the tile to size with simple everyday scissors.
I might finish the space out by tiling around the pipes with the extra tile that I have. (That will require some trickier cuts.) In all, this is a simple and inexpensive project that makes a big difference.
