Happy Wednesday! As my kids and I prep for the new school year, I am feeling sad about the end of summer. I am super excited, though, about fall entertaining! The fall is a wonderful time to have friends and family over for dinners and get-togethers. So I am really happy to share with you a fun collection I curated for Hometalk with 15 Stylish Hostess ideas! The collection has lots great ideas from some really terrific bloggers on how to make your guests feel at home when entertaining this fall.
Hometalk is the largest online home and garden knowledge hub, and is a place where homeowners, bloggers and professionals share ideas on how to improve a home. I love browsing Hometalk for DIY, gardening and decor ideas! I feel so honored that they asked me to curate a board for them! So exciting!
For some reason, when I think of fall, I tend to think of burlap! It must be burlap’s earthy, fall color. The fabric is inexpensive and so versatile. One lovely way to use burlap for entertaining is by crafting a simple but pretty burlap table runner. You could create a beautiful and useful burlap table runner for very little money in an hour or two! You can check out my burlap table runner tutorial on Mom Home Guide.
I love the beautiful burlap napkin rings that Carolyn Smith of Carolyn Smith Designs made for her guests. All you need is some burlap and a glue gun to make these!
I also adore the beverage cart that Cory of Tiny Sidekick made from a changing table! I have a changing table that was never used, and I was wondering what to do with it — I hope to make my own beverage cart. I think a beverage cart like Cory’s could be used for both inside and outside entertaining.
One cute idea I adore is the Scrabble place cards by Debbie of Confessions of a Plate Addict. I’ll have to scour some garage sales for old Scrabble games!
There are so many wonderful hostessing ideas on my 15 Stylish Hostess Ideas Hometalk board. Stop by for more ways to make your guests feel at home this fall! Happy entertaining.
Do you have any great entertaining ideas for the fall? I’d love to hear about them!
