In this blog post, I am sharing one of my favorite wreaths—a colorful wreath that I made out of felt. The wreath was incredibly inexpensive and simple to make, but it’s my all-time favorite wreath! It now hangs in my home’s family room.
Felt Wreath Materials

• A pair of Pinking Shears
• 12 Sheets of Assorted Acrylic Craft Felt
Wreath Tutorial

Step 1: Cut the felt fabric into strips about 1 inch wide and 9 inches long with the pinking shears. (I cut all of the felt into strips.)

Step 2: Tie each strip of felt onto the wreath frame with a knot. You may want to tie a double knot to ensure everything stays put. I mixed the colors throughout the wreath, making sure the entire wreath was covered. Alternate your colors as you go and make sure you tie on enough pieces of felt to completely cover your wreath form. You may want to fluff up your felt pieces once they are tied on. If you would like to follow a video tutorial, check out this wreath tutorial by Simple Simon. She makes her wreath with rags, but the process is basically the same. I have made rag wreaths, too—they are fun to create and are a great way to use your scrap fabric!
Step 3: Hang your wreath! I used a Command Hook to hang my wreath.

I really love the bright, happy colors in this wreath! I think this wreath is great for almost any occasion; it really offers a rainbow of beautiful colors!
