Fall centerpiece for a kitchen table with a fall candle, faux leaves, pine cones and a faux pumpkinI love decorating my home for fall. It sometimes takes me a while to completely embrace fall, but after a while, I’m ready to move from summer and enjoy fall fragrances, scents and pumpkins! I especially enjoy filling my home with the cozy and warm fragrances of candles in the fall. I especially like American Home™ by Yankee Candle® collection of candles.

It’s been busy around her now that the school year is in full swing, so I came up with easy and inexpensive decor for my home’s front porch and kitchen table.  I first started out with my home’s front “porch.” I call it a porch somewhat jokingly because it’s not really a porch at all. It’s more of a stoop. There is not a lot of room there. So the scale of my front porch decorations has to be small.

Fun Front Porch Decor

To create my porch decor, I started with a plain wood crate and some faux white pumpkins.

I’ve been seeing pumpkins on Pinterest in unconventional blues and greens, so I spray painted my pumpkins blue and green. (I like the unconventional look.) I went with a happy yellow for the crate. I adore fall candles, so I added candles from the American Home™ by Yankee Candle® collection in Spiced Orange and Clove and Apple Cinnamon Cider.

I like how the candles, pumpkins and mums add so much color to my home’s front porch.

I love this slightly unconventional fall front porch decor with the blue pumpkins!

Fall Kitchen Table Decor

I’ve always been partial to candles that have the warm fragrances of fall baking! It’s convenient that I can buy American Home™ by Yankee Candle® products right at my local Walmart. The candles come in a wide variety of delicious fall fragrances and have a clean burn from start to end.

It was easy to find the American Home™ by Yankee Candle® collection at my local Walmart — they were located in the home decor aisle where candles are sold. The  American Home™ by Yankee Candle® section is clearly marked at my local Walmart and has a big selection.

I often have candles burning during the fall months to give a nice long-lasting fragrance to my home. Of course, I always  follow user instructions for American Home™ by Yankee Candle® brand products. For example, I never leave my American Home™ by Yankee Candle® products unattended when I have them lit.

One place I like to place candles is on my home’s farmhouse-style kitchen table. My home’s kitchen is in the center of our home, so when I add candles there, they fill my whole home with a wonderful fragrance!

This year, I created my tabletop fall decor in minutes by adding two candles from the American Home™ by Yankee Candle® collection (I chose Spiced Orange and Clove and Apple Cinnamon Cider), faux fall flowers and cinnamon-scented pine cones to my table and a large glass bowl.

Safe Candle-Use Tips

Candles are an excellent way to add a beautiful fragrance to your home, but please be sure to follow these safety tips.

  • Only burn candles on a heat resistant surface, keep then out of drafts and don’t leave burning candles unattended.
  • Cut candle wicks to 1/8 of an inch to make sure the flame isn’t too high.
  • When you burn your candle, let the entire top layer become a pool of liquid wax  to get the biggest fragrance possible.
  • When only ½ of the wax remains, it’s time to get a new candle.

I love how simple and clean this front porch focal point is- and great for even small city porches! I’m also a fan of the non-traditional colors. #client

That outdoor display is SO pretty and I just adore those pumpkins in the aqua colors. I also really love the shape of them! I prefer buying my candles in large jars, I just think the aroma is better when its a larger candle. I am sure these fall scents are wonderful, I need to check these candles out at Walmart when I go later today. I also love that bowl with the leaves and candle in it!

Such a cute fall set up, Lauren. I love that you painted that crate. Those pumpkins look like they’re made out of ceramic! Very cool.
