My family and I had a fabulous experience last week! We were invited to preview a new restaurant in our area, Seasons 52. The restaurant, which has locations across the U.S., recently opened at Princeton’s Marketfair Mall in Princeton, NJ.
Seasons 52 Restaurant Review
My girls were so excited to be dining with my husband and me at such a fancy restaurant! The restaurant has an intimate dining room with a bar off to the side.
A main focus of Seasons 52 is fresh, seasonal ingredients. We began our meal with some appetizers. We sampled the warm roasted olives with herbs and olive oil, and the lobster and fresh mozzarella flatbread. We also tried the stuffed mushrooms with lump crab meat, shrimp and spinach. The lobster flatbread was our favorite! After our appetizers, my husband and I each had a salad. He had the warm harvest mushrooms and arugula salad, while I had the Kalymnos Greek salad. The salads were quite large and were very good.
For dinner, my kids both tried the maple-glazed roasted half chicken, which they both liked, while my husband enjoyed the oak-grilled rack of lamb. I had the carmelized grilled sea scallops. The sea scallops are usually paired with butternut squash and leak risotto, but because I am allergic to squash, I had my sea scallops with mashed sweet potatoes instead. The sea scallops and the mashed sweet potatoes turned out to be an awesome combination!
For dessert one of my daughters and I sampled the key lime “mini indulgence,” which was topped with incredibly tasty toasted marshmallow. Key lime is a favorite of ours, and the toasted marshmallow made the key lime pie even better! (Both of us hold dessert very near and dear to our hearts!)
My other daughter had the chocolate peanut butter mini indulgence, which she absolutely loved! (I am sure I would have loved that dessert, too!) My husband had one of his favorites, pecan pie.
In all, we had a fabulous meal! I am now scheming how I can work out a girls’ night out there or even just a drink or dessert there with a friend or two. I totally want more of that key lime pie! There is also a cranberry and sage cocktail there that I’d love to try!
