PhotoWall Canvas Print Review (Friday Finds) Plus 25% Off Code

February 18, 2021 By Lauren

Lisa Audit canvas print by PhotoWall

Thanks to Photowall for providing the print reviewed in this post. Happy Friday! It's been a cold and snowy week here in New Jersey, leaving me to spend most of my time indoors. That's one reason I was especially happy to receive my new beautiful canvas print from Swedish wallpaper and print company, PhotoWall. I chose to review a 31.5 x 19.69 inch "Light Forest" canvas print by Canadian artist, Lisa Audit. My print is a beautiful depiction of a birch forest. In the print, stark but beautiful white birch trees stand tall against a winter sky. I am reviewing the print as part of my Continue reading...

Spring Bird Grapevine Wreath with Lace and Ivy

February 16, 2021 By Lauren

This post contains Amazon affiliate links at no cost to you. I can't believe that spring is only a little more than a month away! I love springtime. I enjoy hearing the birds return and seeing trees start to green and early perennials pop up in gardens and on lawns. (I planted some crocus in my front lawn last fall, so I excited to see those bloom.) I decided to make a quick and easy spring bird grapevine wreath to celebrate spring's upcoming arrival! I am sharing this post as part of the Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop. Today my blogging friends and I all will be sharing our own homemade Continue reading...

Sweet Valentine’s Day Rose and Hydrangea Bouquet (Friday Finds)

February 4, 2021 By Lauren

Sweet glass vase filled with faux roses and hydrangea with a farmhouse home sign

Thanks to Nearly Natural for providing me with the bouquet described in this review. Welcome to Friday Finds! I love fresh flowers. If I could, I would have a vase full of them daily in my home. Always having fresh flowers would make me happy, but not perhaps my wallet. Luckily for me, I recently received a lovely bouquet of faux rose and hydrangea from Nearly Natural, just in time for Valentine's Day. They look so good that I had to inform my daughters that they aren't real! I am sharing my new artificial flower arrangement as part of my regular Friday Finds column. In this column I Continue reading...

Today I am taking a cue from one of my fellow bloggers -- Julie of My Wee Abode. Julie and I met one year at the Haven blogging conference. She blogs about small home solutions. She creates the most darling spaces with a few well placed and chosen details. She is an expert at making a big statement with small spaces! She recently created some sweet Valentine's decor from a woven tote. I already had an adorable straw tote hanging in my bedroom, so I Continue reading...

Hang a Canvas Easily Without Nails (Friday Finds)

January 29, 2021 By Lauren

wedding portrait of Lauren Kim and her husband

This post contains Amazon Affiliate links. This Christmas, one of my teen daughters surprised my husband and me with a portrait of us that she painted. I was amazed by her painting. Her painted canvas is a beautiful depiction of my husband and me on our wedding day. I love it! I immediately wanted to put the canvas up on a wall. I wanted to hang the canvas without nails. (In my experience, there never is a stud in the spot you want to put a picture. Plus, I'd rather not have to get out a hammer.) My husband and I don't have any large framed photos from our wedding day. We couldn't Continue reading...

Happy New Year, everyone! 2021 is finally here. Although 2020 is over, life still isn't back to normal, as many of us socially distance/isolate ourselves to help stop the spread of Covid. But there is a lot you can do to make 2021 a better year - that's where the growing trend of Friluftsliv comes in. Friluftsli - And How It Can Improve Your Life in 2021 What is Friluftsliv? Pronounced "ree-loofts-liv," Friluftsliv is a Scandinavian word that means open air living. DIY Snowflake Wood Slice Ornaments

November 17, 2020 By Lauren

diy snowflake wood slice ornament with a buffalo plaid ribbon

This post contains Amazon affiliate links. This year, I chose to put up a beautiful rustic minimal Christmas tree. The tree is 6 feet high and just 2 feet wide, so it is the perfect size for displaying in my living room's bay window. I thought it would be sweet to have a simpler rustic/homespun vibe this year, so I made all the trimmings (on a tight budget) for the tree myself. In all, I think I only spent about $20 decorating the tree. (That's a small budget!) One of the elements I made for the tree are inexpensive wood slice snowflake ornaments painted with a muted green and blue. I Continue reading...
