My family and I have been trying lately to eat healthier and to consume less sugar: I have joined a gym, we’re eating oatmeal and other healthier cereals in the morning, and we have been trying to eat less sugary snacks. Also, I am hoping to shed quite a few pounds, so eating less sugar is super important in that quest!
So, when I was offered the chance to try out Werther’s Original Sugar Free Candy, I jumped at the chance! The package came in the mail the other day, and the box was filled with Werther’s Original Caramel, Caramel Cinnamon, Caramel Coffee and Caramel Apple candies. My daughter was home sick that day, and she was thrilled to be home when the box of Werther’s candy arrived!
We immediately opened the box and tried a few candies. I tried a Werther’s Original carmel hard candy, and it was just delicious — it certainly didn’t taste sugar free! My daughter tried a Werther’s Caramel Apple hard candy and said it was “yummy!” She declared that she’ll be trying every single Werther’s flavor! It’s no wonder that the candies taste so good — Werther’s candies are made with real butter and fresh cream. Yum!
Perfect Afternoon Treat
In the afternoon, I love to have a cup of hot tea, and I usually like to pair it with somethng sweet, like a cookie or mini candy bar. (I have a big sweet tooth!) But now, with my stash of Werther’s caramel candies, I can have a an 8-calorie Werther’s sugar-free caramel with my tea — perfect!
Since my kids have afternoons full of activities, I might also stash a few of these candies in my purse for when they want a treat when we are on the run!
So now, hopefully, with my new gym regimen and my low-calorie afternoon snack, I will start seeing some pounds melt away! (Just as easily as the Werther’s candies melt in my mouth!)
