I recently shared in my October goals post that I am working on giving my home’s master bathroom a new look. The big reveal will be this month, so stay tuned! Since I am giving my master bathroom a new look, I’d like to update my home’s master bedroom, too!
The beginnings of my master bathroom’s new feature wall.
At the moment, the king-sized bed in my home’s master bedroom has a blue, green and brown quilt that’s decorated with beautiful medallions.
Master Bedroom Wish List
Duvet Cover – For the bed, I’d love to find a quilt that would coordinate with the new decor and color scheme planned for the master bathroom. I am painting a gray feature wall in the master bathroom, so I’d love to add some bedding in gray to my master bedroom. I’ve spotted a really contemporary looking gray duvet cover set from Vaulia Home Collection. Because the gray duvet set
Area Rug – I recently added a beautiful gray and white area area rug to my home’s living room. I think a Moroccan Trellis Area Rug
would look beautiful in the master bedroom, too.
Feature Wall – As you can see in the photo at the top of this post, the wall behind my master bedroom’s king-sized bed is completely unadorned. I would love to decorate that wall, but am afraid to put something heavy on the wall above our heads. My husband and I have been in our home for years, but I still haven’t figured out how to decorate that wall! I recently printed a photo from one of my family’s day trips onto a beautiful canvas for my home’s master bathroom. Perhaps I can create a canvas print
or two to place above the bed in the master bedroom.(Canvas prints are fairly light.) I enjoy taking scenic photos during my family’s day trips and vacations, so maybe I can print out some of those photos for a fun feature wall.

I need to finish decorating our master bedroom! I need to paint it and also get some pillows to go with the duvet cover. I am thinking of a light gray for the walls and maybe painting the wall behind the bed a darker gray or maybe even a satiny purple (but, one that will blend in with the room well- not a bright purple or anything crazy). I am excited to see what you do in the room!!! Love the idea of a rug, too!
