One of my favorite features is my new coffee grinder’s portafilter holder—and if you’re not familiar with a portafilter, it’s the handled basket that holds the coffee grounds in an espresso machine (the part you lock in to brew your coffee). With the AMZCHEF coffee grinder, I can grind beans directly into the portafilter instead of into a separate container first, making the whole process quicker and less messy. And who wouldn’t to make their mornings at least a little bit easier?
And when I want to grind a larger batch, such as for a pot of drip coffee, I can switch to the included airtight container, which seals tightly to keep my coffee fresh. Also, the grinder’s covered funnel holds plenty of beans, making the whole process a breeze.
Smart Features That Simplify My Routine
My coffee grinder has 48 grind settings—from coarse to fine—to suit the type of coffee I want to make, whether I am using my French press or my beloved AMZCHEF espresso machine. The best part: The grinder is quick and quiet—unlike my previous grinder, which made so much noise!
The grinder’s digital LED touch display is sleek and super easy to use. I love that I can choose to grind by:
- Cups
- Time
- Or espresso shots (single or double)—I take a single, while my husband prefers a double!
The grinder uses a 40mm stainless-steel conical burr that runs at a lower speed (450 RPM), limiting static and heat accumulation, protecting the delicate oils in the coffee beans to maintain their flavor.
I also like that the machine’s covered, detachable hopper provides a secure and clean place to store my coffee beans, and that the sleek and silver finish of the grinder looks so fancy on my kitchen counter!
I also appreciate that my new grinder was made with at least 50% recycled materials and safer chemicals for both people and the environment—I try to use products that are safer for both my family and the earth.
