DIY Halloween shadow box

This post contains Amazon affiliate links. With Halloween only a few weeks away, my blogging friends and I are getting together to share Halloween or pumpkin themed projects! I am sharing a cute and easy DIY Halloween shadow box. I made the box out of a wooden drawer organizer that I ordered that didn't fit my drawer. I figured my DIY shadow box would be the perfect spot to display miniature Halloween figurines. I am sharing my project as part of the Pinterest Challenge blog hop. The purpose of the Pinterest challenge is to motivate us to not just pin, but to make it happen! This Continue reading...

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #TrickOrSweet#CollectiveBias Halloween is on a Saturday this year, so it's a perfect day to host a party! Check back on Thursday for a really easy (but beautiful) way to add a touch of fall to your home as I guest post for blog, Ask Anna! Spooktacular Halloween Decorations

October 22, 2013 By Lauren

Yesterday after school, my kids and I got into the Halloween spirit by putting up some Halloween decorations. My kids and I had so much fun together! On our front door I put up some pumpkin Halloween lights that my kids just adore. We then spread a gigantic cotton Halloween spider's web across the bushes in front of our house. My kids had fun stretching the web to cover as much as possible, and even pretended to be stuck in the web itself! Once our web was in place, we added a creepy big black spider to our Halloween decorations. Fun! Creepy Halloween Decor Now that my kids are older, Continue reading...

Fall Mason Jar Candles

October 20, 2013 By Lauren

fall mason jar candles with autumn nuts

I have been loving all the fun mason jar crafts  and fall mantles I've been seeing on Pinterest, and have been wanting to make some of my own! So when my daughters and I collected a whole bunch of nuts from underneath a local tree, I knew I had a project on my hands! (I think the nuts are hazel nuts, but I am not sure!) My Fall Mantle I had just started my fall mantle, so I thought some autumn mason jar candles would be a good addition! I first got started with my fall mantle by adding fall-themed stickers to an inexpensive stretched burlap canvas that I had purchased at my Continue reading...

Halloween boogram

Halloween Boo Grams

Halloween boogram

It’s that season again – it’s almost time to “boo” the neighbors! We started a little Halloween  tradition two years ago in our neighborhood where kids and families take turns “booing” each other, secretly leaving fun packages of treats, toys and goodies and a Halloween boo gram (a cute Halloween note) by a neighbor’s door. I've also created some free boo grams to share! My family is to the tradition, but Halloween "booing" and boo grams are popular in many neighborhoods across the country. Booing the neighbors is sort of like “Secret Santa,” where the gift Continue reading...

Time to “Boo” the Neighbors!

October 24, 2012 By Lauren

boogram

It’s that time of year again – it’s time to “boo” the neighbors! We started a little Halloween  tradition last year in our neighborhood where kids and families take turns “booing” each other, secretly leaving fun little packages of treats, toys and goodies by a neighbor’s door. We are new to the tradition, but the Halloween tradition is popular in many neighborhoods across the country. Booing the neighbors is sort of like “Secret Santa,” where the gift recipient is left to guess who the gift giver is – but this fun activity is a fall tradition instead of a Christmas one. Our Own Continue reading...
