Weekly Recap

Earlier in the week, my daughters and I made a strawberry lemonade iced tea. The recipe is really quite simple, but it’s so delicious!

Yesterday, my husband took my daughters and me “exploring.” We headed south in our car on one highway, and then headed back up north on another. I think we drove at least 20 miles south of our house. We didn’t find anything too interesting on the first highway. But we did find a few of Dunkin’ Donuts, so we stopped in for some sweet teas and other refreshments.

I enjoyed the drive back home. The highway we took home was more rural. We passed a winery, Wharton State Forest, and lots of beautiful farms and farm stands. We also dropped into the Columbus Farmer’s Market. It was later in the day, so much of the activity was over. But we did find a good pet store, where we saw parakeets and some adorable rabbits. The Columbus Farmer’s Market is open on Thursdays (besides Saturday and Sunday). I’m hoping to take my kids there one Thursday.

My favorite stop of the day was at a wonderful farm stand on Route 206. At the farm stand I picked up 12 ears of fresh corn, some strawberries and some asparagus.

Now it’s time for the party!
