Welcome to our DIY/Craft Link Up Party! The party is held every Sunday at 8 p.m. Central, 9 p.m. Eastern time. Be sure to stop here each Sunday for the fun!
This week’s feature is DIY Board and Batten by Repurpose and Upcycle. I love this tutorial on how to easily add board and batten to your home. I have a similar mud room area in my home, and think board and batten would look great in the space. Be sure to stop by my Creative Corner co-hosts’ blogs to see what they picked as their feature this week. We each pick a blog and project to feature from last week’s Creative Corner party!
Weekly Recap
Earlier this week I shared what I received in the Summer FabFitFun box, my third FabFitFun subscription box. FabFitFun is a subscription box you can order by season or annually. (If you might like a FabFitFun subscription, you can check it out here. If you use my link, you can get $10 off your first FabFitFun box!)
My most recent FabFitFun box is my most favorite box yet – it contained lots of really useful summer items, like a summer wrap, water bottle and silky smooth facial sunscreen. The items are perfect for a super fair-skinned person like me who loves the summer sunshine! (I literally can get sunburned in about 15 minutes – ugh.)
August Goal
Earlier this week, I shared my personal goal for the month of August. Each month, my friend, Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom, and I each choose a goal to work on for the month. I’ve found that setting monthly goals can be a great motivator and aid in getting stuff done. This month, I am hoping to start a fall vegetable garden — I never got around to planting a summer vegetable garden this year.
Farmer’s Market
My kids and I also had a fun trip to a local farmers market on Thursday. We brought home lots of great fruits and vegetables — lettuce, peppers, strawberries, kiwis, lime, pears and corn. The market is 30 minutes from our house. This market is so good that we might have to make a weekly trip there for the rest of the summer!
My daughters and I enjoyed a delicious salad that night for dinner!
Now it’s time for the party!

Ready to share what has been motivating you this past week? Link up a recent post of yours that motivates you to create or just be awesome! Our goal is for this link up to focus on craft, DIY, & home posts, so please try to remember that when linking up.
- Limit three links per week and remember to link directly to your post, not your blog.
- Do not link stores, giveaways, or other link parties.
- Be sure to hop around some of the other posts that have been linked up to share the love and get motivated by what others have been up to.
Each week, your hosts will choose a post to feature from the previous week. If you want a chance at being featured, you must follow all of the hosts in some way. By linking up, you agree to let each host share your photo and link back to your site, as well as receive a weekly e-mail letting you know when the party is live. We will never give your e-mail or info to anyone, nor will we spam you! The Creative Corner link party goes live Sunday 6 p.m. PST and ends Thursday at 5 p.m. PST. By adding your links, you are stating that you have the proper licensing/rights to the images in your blog posts.
