Back to School Gear With Minted
I received a promotional item in exchange for my review. All opinions expressed in this post are 100% my own. With the new school year only about three weeks away here in New Jersey, my daughters and I have been scrambling to get ready for the fall and back to school! My kids need notebooks for all their classes, and we could use planners, calendars and labels, too, to get ourselves prepped for the hectic school year! I was invited to check out the Back to School Shop at Minted.com. I love all the beautiful back to school gear they have, and it can all be customized! The first thing I Continue reading...
Free Fall Printable
Hello! I am happy to be sharing one of my latest projects -- a free fall printable -- with you today! My printable was inspired by this season's beautiful colors! Leaves blanket the ground in my neighborhood, and mums and pumpkins provide beautiful pops of yellow and orange. I love it! I decided to create a mini celebration of the fall for my family and for my home by creating a colorful fall printable that I could frame! I chose to frame my printable in an inexpensive white frame. I have it sitting on a table in my home's living room. My kids adore it! I like how the framed free Continue reading...

Hey, everyone! Happy weekend! This week I was lucky enough to co-host the Blogiversary Party for my blogging friend, Bonnie of The Pin Junkie. There were so many great projects linked up for the party! Fall Home Tour
Happy fall, everyone! Fall is definitely here in New Jersey: The air is getting cooler and the leaves are starting to change beautiful oranges and reds. I just love the gorgeous fall colors! Although I am kind of late to the game, I thought I'd share my fall home tour with you! One of the first things I did to bring fall into my home this season was a quick pillow decorating project -- I wrapped my living room's sofas in burlap ribbon! The project was so simple, and I love the new fall look! You can see how I created this fall look for my living room's pillows in the tutorial that I shared Continue reading...
Should You Go Solar?
What does fall weather make you think of? I think of fall leaves, hayrides, pumpkin picking and fall home decor! But I also think of chilly fall nights and rising home energy bills! It makes me want to put on a pair of fleece PJs and hide under some warm covers! I'd love to find a way to reduce my home's energy bills this fall and upcoming winter. My husband and I have already installed an energy-efficient furnace, an energy-efficient Nest Learning Thermostat and replaced some of our windows with energy efficient ones. We also do little things to conserve energy like turn down the heat Continue reading...
Fall Paper Leaf Wreath
Happy October! To celebrate fall, I decided to make an easy and fun paper leaf wreath for my home. What's great is that I made the fall paper leaf wreath at no cost with materials I already had at home. I love how the happy fall colors brighten up my house! The project was simple -- I just cut out a circular wreath out of cardboard and glued on some paper leaves that I cut out from paper that I already had. I didn't even need a glue gun -- I used regular white school glue. I also used some white twine to wrap around my wreath (for a decorative touch) and to hang my wreath. Easy! Paper Continue reading...

**Editor's Note: The full tutorial for this project will go live on Thursday, October 2, on Ask Anna. Hello! This week I am guest posting at Ask Anna! Every first Thursday of the month I post at Ask Anna and share my decorating tips! Today I am sharing how I updated my sofa's throw pillows for fall with simple burlap ribbon! The project was really quite easy (and less expensive than getting new pillows or making new pillow covers). I think my new burlap-wrapped pillows give my living room sofa a great updated fall look! So be sure to stop by Ask Anna for the tutorial on how to make Continue reading...
