Today, my husband and I visited Sayen Gardens in Hamilton, NJ, with our Shih Tzu pup—this park is dog friendly! I always love going to the gardens, located about 15 minutes by car from my house. They are a serene retreat that really feels like a different world. Its beauty changes throughout the seasons—in spring, there are 1,000 or so azaleas in bloom, as well as other springtime favorites like tulips, while in summer, its forested areas are a quiet and lush green, highlighted with daisies and other blooms. Artful Day Trip to South Jersey
This week, my family and I visited a very cool art installation in Hainespoint, NJ, called “Rusty,” which was built by artist Thomas Dambo. It’s a sculpture made of trash that towers at least two stories high. The Danish recycling artist who built it creates large-scale artworks around the world to call attention to how our world is drowning in trash while our natural resources are diminishing.
