Off My Feet—Again (And Helpful Products When you Have a Broken Ankle)

January 16, 2022 By Lauren

broken ankle in casrt

This post contains Amazon affiliate links. I started 2022 on the wrong foot — literally. Thirteen days ago, on January 4, I was working in my home office and decided at about 9:30 a.m. to take my pup out to the yard. I took one step on my home’s front outdoor concrete stairs and flew over two stairs and landed on my butt. The stairs were covered in ice! I instantly developed pain and swelling in my right foot. It seems that the force of slipping on the stairs broke my ankle. Broken Ankle I immediately texted my family, and one of my daughters came out to get me right away. I had to Continue reading...

December 16, 2021 By Lauren

A standing desk is a great gift for a mom home office - Amazon has mine available!

Thanks to Flexispot for providing me with the desk reviewed in this post. This post contains affiliate links. I started a new full time job as a content writer at the end of September. I love my new work-from-home job, but haven't been liking what sitting at a desk all day has been doing to my body. My legs get sore and tight, and I have carpal tunnel. My physical therapist tells me that it's not good to be sitting all day. So when I was given the chance to try out the Kana Pro Standing Desk ($499.99) by Flexispot, I jumped at the chance. My new standing desk has turned out to be Continue reading...

RushOrderTees designed a custom sweatshirt for me using my Mom Home Guide blog logo. It came out perfectly! To make the sweatshirt, I simply gave RushOrderTees an image of my blog's logo. They tweaked the logo to make it look even better and made a beautiful, comfy sweatshirt for me! I like that their products are made with love in Philadelphia, not far from where I went to college.
