Thanks to DecoArt for providing products used in my bathroom makeover. This post contains Amazon affiliate links. I have been slowly working to update my home's master bathroom. Just before our daughters were born, my husband and I purchased our home in 2002. The master bathroom came with standard features - white tile floor, a large unframed bathroom mirror and an oak bathroom vanity. Today I am sharing how I easily painted the bathroom cabinet / vanity. Painting a bathroom cabinet is something you can do this coming weekend! I used Americana Decor Satin Enamels Paint by DecoArt (in Continue reading...

Front Door Update with Chalk Paint
* I received free product for this review. All opinions are my own. Hi, everyone! How is your week going? If you recall, last week I updated the outside of my front door with a gorgeous red paint color, "Sophisticated," by Modern Masters! I love how the new color brightens up the front of my home! This week, I decided to add color to the inside of my home's front door! Front Door Makeover with Modern Masters & Giveaway!
*I was provided Modern Master's Front Door Paint, and a door decal from The Vinyl Company for this project. All opinions expressed in this post are 100% my own. Hi, everyone! I am super excited to show you my front door makeover! I painted my home's front door red a few years ago, but the paint faded and two magnetic hooks that I had on the door (to hold up a wreath) did a number on the paint job! I put off painting the door, since paint sometimes takes forever to dry and I wasn't sure what color red I wanted. (The red that was on my door before was a little too orange for my Continue reading...
Pink, Gray and Blue Palette
The other day, I wrote about a blue and yellow paint color scheme that I am thinking of using for my home office. I have been considering the paint color scheme, since while the room is currently my office, I figure that in a few years, when my kids hit their tween years, they will no longer want to share a bedroom, and I will have to give up that space. One of my daughters loves blue, so I thought the space might make a good room for her, should I go with the blue and yellow color scheme. But there is a problem with that plan -- the room comes with a walk-in closet, while the other Continue reading...
Yellow and Blue Inspiration Board
Now that I've completed painting the owl and tree mural feature wall for my kids' new study and media space, I've been dreaming about organizing and painting my home office. Right now, the office has boxes everywhere (of things I need to file) and features plain, unpainted white walls. So boring! I thought something bright and cheery would be great for the office, and have been thinking that the room would look quite nice in a combination of yellows and blues. Most of my home is very neutral with soft greens and yellowy beiges, so I thought that something more colorful would be Continue reading...
