Hi, everyone! Now that the new school year has started, I have been making a concentrated effort to keep my life and home more organized. Part of that effort includes making my own free printables for myself and to share -- I've been finding if I don't have my to-lists and chores on paper, I tend to forget them! LOL. I recently made a free printable colorful chore chart for my tweens. My kids just got their own rooms this summer, so they are really excited about keeping their rooms neat and organized so they can have friends over and be proud to show off their rooms! I most recently Continue reading...

Free Printable Chore Chart for Tweens
My tween daughters just got their own rooms, and now that they have their own rooms, they have taken a bigger interest in keeping their rooms neat and clean! (Look for the room reveals on this blog soon!) My daughters even want to put their own laundry away! Since they have been asking for an allowance, I thought I could come up with a free printable chore chart to help them earn some cash. I got the idea for how to design my chore chart from Corey of Tiny Sidekick. She and I met at Haven, and I just love her blog! She recently created a free printable chore Continue reading...
Early Morning Routine for a Night Owl
This post is sponsored by Cottonelle. I bet this sounds like a lot of moms' early morning routines. Your morning schedule starts early, so you get dressed in 10 minutes or less and throw on sweats before seeing your kids off to school. That's my routine this year! My husband and I are night owls, and I get up at 6 a.m. to make breakfast and help my kids out the door, so I've been very sleep deprived! So, I've developed a quick routine to make myself presentable enough to walk my kids to the bus stop. Now, I don't actually have to walk them to the bus stop (none of the other Continue reading...
Back to School Mud Room Area
With fall and winter upon us, and the school year into full gear, having a family mud room is essential. I know one is needed in my house! We need a place to hang our coats and drop off our sometimes wet and muddy shoes. My home isn't very large, and we don't have a coat closet by the front door, so we have created a "mud room" out of a small space. This is what I have found helpful to have in our "mud room" space: 1. Easy-to-Clean Floors: Tile flooring is great for a mud room floor, since it's easy to clean and durable. My mud room area just inside my home's front door Continue reading...
Marker Roll Up Tutorial & Teacher Gift
This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Office Depot, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #inspirestudents http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV My kids moved up to middle school this year, which means buying a lot more school supplies! My daughters and I visited our local Office Depot and stocked up on everything we needed before school started. I picked up some Sharpies, Papermate pens and scented Mr. Sketch markers. The pens, Sharpies and markers will be great for a back-to-school teacher gift! I know teachers have to cart a lot of Continue reading...
Ask Anna: Budget Back to School Mantel
Happy Thursday, everyone! Today is a BIG day here at my household, since it's the first day of middle school for my twin tweens! It's also the day that I am sharing my budget back to school mantel at Ask Anna! I am a new contributor at Ask Anna, and I will be sharing a home decor project there the first Thursday of each month. I feel so honored! I created the mantel as a way of celebrating the new and exciting school year and to help my kids get into the school spirit! You'd think that such a mantel may be a downer for some kids, but my daughters love it! I repurposed items for my Continue reading...

Touring Through Blogland
Happy Monday! I'm excited to be asked by Kimm of Reinvented to participate in the Tour Through Blogland! I don't know how the tour got started, but it's a lot of fun! Each Monday, a blogger shares a bit about herself, her blog, her projects and her home. Then she invites other talented bloggers to share a bit about themselves the following week. The blog tour is a terrific way to meet other fantastic bloggers and find new inspiration! Kimm and I met at the Haven blogging conference in July, and I am so excited that she has invited me to participate in the blog Continue reading...

Disclosure: I was compensated for this post and was given a VTech CareLine SN6197 system to review. The opinions expressed here are 100% mine own. When I was invited to try out the VTechCareLine phone system, I was glad to do so! My dad also needs a phone that is simple for him to use, so I am happy that I can provide him with this great safety phone system.
