Welcome to this week’s Friday Finds post! Today I am sharing one of the best Amazon products I’ve purchased for my home – an unfinished International Concepts Shaker Sofa Table ($97). The hardwood table is 48in. W x 16in. D x 30in. H. My DIY painted sofa table is perfect for a small space, and I was able to style it the way I like with chalk paint and stain. By buying and finishing an unfinished console table myself, I was able to get exactly what I wanted while spending less. I got this table 6 years ago, and I still love it!
I regularly shop on Amazon. This Friday Finds column gives me a chance to share some of the best Amazon products that I’ve tried. I really love my DIY painted sofa table!
The above is how the International Concepts Shaker Sofa Table, one of my favorite Amazon products, looked when I received it. It was a fairly quick project to stain the table and paint the legs. I decided to add a fun pop of yellow to the console table’s legs because of the soft yellow walls in my home’s living room and because I use yellow as an accent color in the room. I think the yellow is a nice color for this bright and sunny room.
I used Minwax Wood Finishing Cloths in Dark Mahogany and Annie Sloane chalk paint. (I mixed Old White chalk paint with English Yellow chalk paint.) The Wood Finishing cloths made applying the wood stain to the table extra easy. The below shows how I had the console table decorated for fall the first year that I had the sofa table.
This is how I decorated the shaker console table for fall another year – with my DIY decorated grapevine wreath, faux pumpkins, a fall table runner and ceramic lanterns.
The below is how I decorated this console table for autumn with decor from Oriental Trading one year. As you can see, this DIY painted sofa table is perfect for decorating with seasonal decor!
This console table is a lot of fun to update for the seasons! To tell the truth, the table’s sole purpose is to provide a decor space in my home’s living room.
