My family and I love enjoying homemade guacamole together. Luckily, it's so easy to make guacamole! For fresh guacamole, all you need are a few fresh ingredients: avocados, cilantro, a little bit of lime juice, and a dash of salt. That's all you need! The hardest part of making fresh guacamole is waiting for the avocados to ripen! Avocados are usually hard and not yet ripe when I buy them in the store, so I usually purchase them a few days before I plan to make the guacamole. I've been told by friends that if I place the avocados in a paper bag and store it on the top of the fridge Continue reading...
Easy Weeknight Chili
During the school week, one of the simplest and quickest meals that I love to make is easy weeknight chili. The recipe is so simple to make that it's almost not even a recipe. But this recipe sure does make a good bowl of chili! Easy Weeknight Chili Recipe Ingredients (serves 4) To make this super easy chili, all you need is a handful of ingredients: Chili 1 lb ground beef 1 15 oz. can kidney beans 1 16 oz. jar salsa (I either use mild or medium) 1 packet taco seasonings 1 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon dried oregano leaves 1 Continue reading...
After-School Frozen Banana Bites
My tween daughters always make me smile -- especially when they come home with stellar report cards! To celebrate their hard work, I decided to do something extra sweet and fun for them. So, a few hours before they came home from school one day, I popped some sliced bananas into the freezer so the kids and I could prepare some fun and delicious frozen banana bites together when they got home from school! I sliced the pointed tips off my bananas so the banana pieces would be flat on both the top and the bottom. Just before my kids were due to walk through the door, I Continue reading...

I can't wait to see what everyone has to share this week! This week, I shared how I potted some tulip, daffodil and other bulbs so I can force them to bloom indoors! I am very excited, because I've noticed that shoots are already sprouting from my pots. You can find out more in my post about how to force bulbs. Six Tasty Breakfast Recipes
I make my kids breakfast bright and early every weekday morning at 6:30 a.m. At that early in the morning, it can be hard for my brain to function enough to figure out what to cook! I often make my daughters grilled cheese sandwiches for breakfast. Recently, I added a new flavor to their grilled cheese sandwiches by adding some pepper jack cheese and fresh basil. We love it. As you may know, I co-host the Craft Frenzy Friday and Motivation Monday parties. I love co-hosting those parties, because it helps me to get to know other bloggers and to enjoy all their great ideas! I Continue reading...

Basil Pepper Jack Grilled Cheese
This post contains affiliate links. My daughters LOVE grilled cheese. I used to make grilled cheese only occasionally until I got my panini press. Now, I make grilled cheese all the time! My daughters can enjoy grilled cheese for breakfast, lunch or dinner! In fact, my daughters and I had a grilled cheese sandwich with a bowl of soup for dinner today! It's easy to make a grilled cheese sandwich with a panini press because it griddles the sandwich on both sides at once, making the process of making a grilled cheese sandwich very quick! I use my panini press so Continue reading...

I love celebrating Valentine's Day, so I thought it would be fun to share some fun Valentine's Day ideas from some of my favorite bloggers! Before I start, I thought I'd share some of my own Valentine's Day projects! This year, I created an easy felt heart Valentine's Day wreath for my home's front door. I love how it adds fun pops of color to my home's exterior! I've found a super easy way to update throw pillows for Valentine's Day -- I simply wrapped mine Continue reading...
