Welcome to Tasty Tuesday! Today I am doing something a little bit different (for a Tasty Tuesday). I am going to be sharing different ways that my family and I plan to enjoy our fire pit this fall. One BIG WAY that my family enjoys our fire pit is by enjoying a variety of foods cooked over the fire pit! (That’s where the Tasty Tuesday theme comes in!)
Ways to Enjoy Your Fire Pit this Fall
My family finally bought a fire pit this summer. My husband told me to pick one out last summer as an anniversary gift, but I never got around to it! But this summer, when the Landmann Barrone Fire Pit went on sale, I decided it was the time to buy! From my research, Landmann fire pits are some of the best fire pits you can buy.
Since getting our fire pit, my family and I have enjoyed several evenings around the fire pit together. We are looking forward to many more fun evenings together around the fire pit this fall.
Before we got our fire pit, I used to wonder if I’d actually want to sit around a fire until it actually burned out. But all the nights my family and I have used our fire pit, I’ve actually been a little disappointed when the fire finally burnt out.
These are ways we’ve been enjoying our fire pit, and ways I hope our family can enjoy our fire pit this fall.
How to Enjoy Your Fire Pit This Fall
As the temperatures drop, a fire pit is an excellent way to enjoy some outdoor time with your family. You can sit around the warm glow of a fire pit and enjoy a cool fall night. The fire pit will warm you just enough, not too much, like sometimes in the summertime.
Cook Over the Fire
Cooking over a fire pit is a fun way to enjoy a fire pit in the fall. My family and I have been enjoying cooking some weekend dinners over our fire pit.
We have the Landmann Barrone Fire Pit and we were able to find a sturdy fire pit cooking grate that fits very sturdily over our fire pit.
The cooking grate has made cooking over the fire so much easier! We can now place our veggie skewers, etc., on the grate instead of having to hold them over the fire.
We’ve cooked hot dogs and hamburgers, and have roasted corn, squash, and of course, marshmallows!
If we don’t want to cook directly on the grate, we can use our Marshmallow Roasting Sticks to cook our hot dogs and roast the marshmallows.
I am hoping to get a fire pit Popcorn Popper so we can pop some popcorn over the fire pit, too.
You can also can make a foil packet made out of heavy duty aluminum foil to pop popcorn over a fire pit, or you can put the kernels in a Dutch oven and pop the popcorn over the fire pit.
Enjoy Some Music
When we sit around the fire pit, my family and I like to listen to music. My daughters and husband have been taking turns selecting the playlist. We used a Bluetooth enabled speaker to broadcast the music. My husband has a JBL Charge 3 Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker while my daughters each have a JBL CLIP 3 – Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker .
I am hoping my family and I can enjoy some fire pit time this upcoming weekend together. Sitting around a fire together is so relaxing and a nice way to spend time with each other.

You are making me really want to get a fire pit! I loved the small one we had at the cottage we stayed at. Smores are my fave! These skewers look good!
