I got my new living room sofa about two years ago (before then, the room was nearly a blank room), and since then, I love dressing it up! So with spring on its way, I just had to make new spring envelope pillow covers for my sofa's throw pillows! The above photo shows how I dressed up my living room for the fall. I like the colorful envelope pillows I made for my fall living room, but wanted to have a lighter, more spring-like look for spring! So I used a coupon at my local craft store and purchased some fabric at a discount and some leaf-accented wooden buttons to make new envelope Continue reading...
Six Adorable Easter Ideas
Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today I am sharing six really great ideas for Easter! I co-host the Motivation Monday and the Craft Frenzy Friday linky parties, and there were so many fun Easter ideas shared! So I picked six of my favorite Easter egg and Easter decor ideas from those parties! I love coloring Easter eggs for my kids and decorating my home for the holiday! I haven't done any Easter decorating in my home this year so far, but last year I did create a cute Easter bunny wreath for my home. I also have a really simple Easter flag that I sewed for my garden: For Continue reading...
Teriyaki Salmon and Broccoli
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #SamsClubMag #CollectiveBias Now that spring is almost here, I've been working to lighten up my family's diet and serve healthier meals. My kids love Japanese Food and teriyaki sauce, so I decided to make teriyaki salmon with broccoli one night for dinner. The fun part of the meal is that I served our dinner with chopsticks, which both my kids and I are hoping to get better at using! It turns out that broccoli was highlighted as the superfood of the month for Continue reading...

With Taste the Madness/The Big Tournament coming up, we're likely to have some friends over to celebrate! But while the guys might love typical basketball decor, I thought it would be nice to put together some decorations that other moms and myself would appreciate. I thought it would be fun to create some DIY basketball-inspired party decor without being too over-the-top sports related! Since the Continue reading...

Classic Guacamole Recipe
My family and I love enjoying homemade guacamole together. Luckily, it's so easy to make guacamole! For fresh guacamole, all you need are a few fresh ingredients: avocados, cilantro, a little bit of lime juice, and a dash of salt. That's all you need! The hardest part of making fresh guacamole is waiting for the avocados to ripen! Avocados are usually hard and not yet ripe when I buy them in the store, so I usually purchase them a few days before I plan to make the guacamole. I've been told by friends that if I place the avocados in a paper bag and store it on the top of the fridge Continue reading...
