Monday Favorites (Link Up Party Picks)
Happy Monday, everyone! We had a lot of great contributions to last Wednesday's A Little Bit of Everything Link Up Party! Today I am sharing some of my favorites from that party! I usually just plant marigolds in my front yard's garden, but thanks to Melissa from How Does Your Garden Grow, I might be planting some vinca this year! In her tutorial, Five Easy Care Garden Flowers, Melissa says that vinca but can tolerate sun and drier soil. They sound perfect for my front yard garden! I really can't wait to start some spring gardening! (Go away, snow!) I also loved the Gold Monogrammed Continue reading...
Monday Favorites (Link Up Party Picks)
Last week, I was lucky enough to co-host the Creative Spark Link Up Party. It was so much fun! There were so many great projects and ideas shared! So today I am sharing my favorite tutorials and projects from that party! I am crazy about Deb from Seeking Lavender Lane's Tutorial on how to keep a beautiful home with kids! I think she's just brilliant! In her tutorial, she shows how she hides her kids' toys and craft items in plain sight! Her post shows her beautiful living space, complete with grey walls and white furniture. Her space looks like it's right out of a magazine! But scattered Continue reading...
Valentines Day Treats and Crafts
Last Wednesday I helped host another session of the A Little Bit of Everything Link Up Party. I was impressed by all the great projects that were shared! Since Valentine's Day is only a mere 5 days away, I decided that today I'll share my favorite Valentine's Day treats and crafts from the party! I really adore the chocolate and peanut butter valentine cookies by Bonnie of The Pin Junkie. They look so delicious and cute! I know my daughters would just love these if I baked some of these for Valentine's Day! (Click on the photos below to visit my friends' blogs and to get the full recipe and Continue reading...
Valentine’s Day Crafts (Link Up Party Favorites)
Wow! I can't believe that it is February already -- which means that Valentine's Day will be here soon! I've been a fan of Valentines Day ever since I met my husband some 20-plus years ago, but the holiday is even more fun now that we have kids! That's because the holiday now also includes Valentines Day crafts that we can do together! I shared some of my recent Valentines Day crafts in last Wednesday's A Little Bit of Everything link up party. One thing I shared is my Valentine's Day countdown! For the 14 days leading up to Valentines Day, my kids can open up one numbered envelope. In Continue reading...
Getting a Home Christmas Ready
Thank you, BISSELL for sponsoring today’s post on preparing for holiday entertaining! Now that Christmas is only about a week away, I am in full gear to get my preparations done for the big day! Since my home has wall-to-wall carpeting, a major part of those preparations are making sure the carpets are clean for my guests! I am lucky that I have the BISSELL ProHeat 2X® Premier 47A23 Upright Deep Cleaner in my cleaning arsenal! My new ProHeat 2X® Premier 47A23 Upright Deep Cleaner, and my BISSELL Professional Deep Cleaning formula with Scotchgard™ Protector, really helped me to get my Continue reading...
Upcycled Glass Jar & Pom Pom Flowers
My kids and I are big believers in recycling, so we are eager to celebrate National Recycling Week! I am always holding onto used spaghetti sauce jars for crafts, and have lots of yarn on hand. So, my daughters and I decided to create a yarn craft using one of our recycled glass jars and some yarn we had on hand. We also created some yarn and chopstick pom pom flowers for our upcycled glass jar project -- house plants don't seem to do well in our house! We get Chinese take-out fairly often, so we often have some chopsticks around. Our project was inspired by a Continue reading...
Five Fun Fall Crafts
Hey, everyone! Happy weekend! This week I was lucky enough to co-host the Blogiversary Party for my blogging friend, Bonnie of The Pin Junkie. I am a fall and home decor junkie, so I decided to first share my favorite home and fall crafts and home decor projects from The Pin Junkie Blogiversary party! The party is still going strong, so feel free to stop by and add your project or recipe to the party! I totally adore the neutral fall wreath from Live Laugh Rowe. I met Kelly at the Haven Conference last July, and she's just great! Continue reading...
