I recently shared in my October goals post that I am working on giving my home's master bathroom a new look. The big reveal will be this month, so stay tuned! Since I am giving my master bathroom a new look, I'd like to update my home's master bedroom, too! At the moment, the king-sized bed in my home's master bedroom has a blue, green and brown quilt that's decorated with beautiful medallions. Master Bedroom Wish Continue reading...
Putting Up Guests Without a Guest Room

If you click on an Amazon link and make a purchase, I earn a small commission that helps to fund this blog. Summer is when my family likes to get together with friends and relatives, so a guest bed is needed! The problem is that there isn’t a dedicated guest bedroom in my home. The extra bedroom in my home is serving as my home office / craft room, so it can be quite messy! I hope to get Continue reading...
Creating a Restful Bedroom & New Sheets
Thanks to Mellanni Fine Linens for sponsoring this post. I received free linens in exchange for this review. All opinions expressed in this post are 100% my own. This post contains Amazon affiliate links. This year, I've been hard at work improving my home for me and my family. Lately, I've turned my attention to my home's master bedroom. I'd love to make the room a beautiful and restful spot for me and my husband to enjoy. So, I was thrilled when I was given the opportunity to review a new bed linen set for my bedroom's king-sized bed. I used to be all about using colorful Continue reading...
An Organized Bedroom Closet
*This post contains Amazon affiliate links. Welcome to the Summer Craftacular Blog Hop! Holiday Craftacular is a fun blog hop that I participate in with a few of my blogging friends. Today, we are sharing our summer projects. We have a new blogger joining our group today -- Michele of Bella Home Goods! Welcome, Michele! I met Michele at a recent blogger event (hosted by XFinity - #XFinityMoms). It turns out that Michele lives in the same town that I grew up in! An Organized Summer Closet I've been working on organizing my bedroom's second closet so I can more easily find my Continue reading...
Organizing a Nightstand & Drawer #SpringClean16
* This post is sponsored by Kimberly-Clark and The Motherhood. #SpringClean16 With spring around the corner, I've been cleaning and decorating my home to get my home spring ready! I re-decorated my home's living room for spring, and this week, I decided to do some much-needed cleaning and organizing in the master bedroom, particularly the nightstand by my side of the bed! Declutter Nightstand My nightstand tends to be a junk drawer -- I toss things in there that I don't want to lose track of, or things that I need to tackle at some point. But eventually, things tend to get Continue reading...
DIY Fabric Covered Bulletin Boards
I can't believe that the new school year is almost here! In my daughters' school district, school starts in about two and a half weeks! So, to get my kids ready for school, I made custom fabric covered bulletin boards for them! I found a fun and easy way to put the bulletin boards together -- I simply cut the fabric to fit the cork part of inexpensive bulletin boards, and pinned the fabric onto the board with decorative silver tacks! My kids love their new bulletin boards, since they each picked out their own fabrics, and the boards match the decor of their bedrooms! I am sharing the Continue reading...
Master Bedroom Ideas

I have been working to update the decor in most of my home, but one room that has remained mostly untouched is the master bedroom. I have made updates to the room recently, but I still have a way to go to get the room where I want it to be. I've recently added a Samara 6 Piece Coverlet Set (that I purchased on Amazon.com) to my bedroom -- I really love how the coverlet set adds color to the room. I have been kicking around some Continue reading...
Kids Bedrooms
*This post contains affiliate and sponsored links. Finding enough storage in kids bedrooms can be tough, but if you buy furniture and accessories with storage in mind, you should be able to find plenty of storage for kids rooms. My daughters, 11, are twins and enjoy sharing a room. So, when I chose the children’s furniture for their kids room, I chose children’s furniture that would give us the most space as possible for storing their things. Their room is fairly large, but not that big, considering that we must fit two twin beds in there, a dresser, and as many places as possible Continue reading...
Pretty and Simple Curtain Trim
A year or so ago, I purchased long room-darkening curtains for my home's master bedroom. The room faces east, so as the sun comes up, it gets extremely sunny in that room! As my husband and I tend to be night owls and frequently stay up late, we don't appreciate that morning sun too much, as it wakes us up earlier than we would like! (LOL!) Luckily, the room darkening drapes do a really great job at blocking out the sun and keeping our room nice and dark until we are ready to get up. Dressing Up Curtains with Ribbon Unfortunately, however, I chose an earthy brown color for Continue reading...
