I returned from the Haven DIY and design blogging conference just a few weeks ago. I had a great time! I got to meet many new blogging friends, took some classes, tried out some great DIY and craft products, met with brands and toured Charleston, S.C. I also got to meet my blogging friend, Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom, in person for the first time! I'm still unpacking and organizing all the free swag that I brought home from the Continue reading...

I arrived in Charleston, S.C., on Thursday afternoon, a day before the conference started on Friday. I was invited to lunch with a bunch of sweet and wonderful bloggers at the Saffire Restaurant in the Charleston Marriott, hotel. That's the hotel where the Continue reading...
Decorating a Living Room Bay Window
I received the pillows described in this post for free in exchange for my honest review. A few years ago my husband and I had a bay window installed in our living room. For a while, I was unsure as to how to dress up the window. I have been meaning to make a custom window seat cushion for the space, but haven't gotten around to it yet! In the meantime, I've found a much easier (and quicker) way to dress up a bay window. At first, I only had a simple cushion that I had sewed on the window seat. At the time, the cushion matched the color scheme of the curtains that I had in the Continue reading...

Today I'm sharing a quick DIY chalkboard sign that I put together Monday. I was able to put this sign together in less than 20 minutes! All I needed for my sign was a hanging chalkboard, some lliquid chalk markers and a fun stencil. What I love about my sign is that because I used liquid chalk markers to create my sign, I can easily wash the message off my sign and create a new one whenever I want! If you follow my blog, you Continue reading...
