Currently {December}
Today is my last Currently post of the year! Once a month, Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom and I have each been setting a day aside to share what has been going on in our lives. This year -- 2017 -- hasn't been the best for me. In June, I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. I never really expected to face something like that. But my friends and family stood by me, and surprisingly, even my treatment didn't seem too long. My doctors are expecting an excellent prognosis, so here's hoping that they are correct! My diagnosis came just three days before a scheduled family trip to Walt Continue reading...

My town is filled with beautiful old Victorians, craftsman-style and Greek Revival homes, etc. On the tour I got to see a handful of homes beautifully decorated for the holidays, and it got me in the Christmas spirit! So I am happy to share today how I decorated my kitchen's farmhouse dining table for Christmas! Almost all of the items I used to decorate my Christmas table with are from Oriental Trading. I Continue reading...

Lace and Ivy Boho Christmas Wreath
Thanks to UglyChristmasSweater.com for providing the sweater for the ugly Christmas sweater giveaway. Welcome to the 12 Months of Wreaths blog hop! Today my blogging friends and I will each be sharing a DIY homemade wreath for the holiday season. Since the holiday season can be so rushed and busy, I decided to simplify things for my own wreath. I went with a simple natural/bohemian look that I crafted with just a few things from my local dollar store. For my wreath, I combined the idea of a traditional ivy/grapevine wreath with a dreamcatcher look to create a calm, simple wreath for the Continue reading...
