May 22, 2022 By Lauren

I love my easy to install dog fence from Amazon!

This post contains Amazon affiliate links. Today I'm sharing a project my husband and I completed this weekend—or, I should say, HE completed! (Here's a BIG shout out of THANKS to my hubby!) I started a new work-from-home job in September, and have been wanting to create an outdoor office of sorts on my patio. The only problem I had is that our yard isn't fenced, and I have a 4-year-old Shih Tzu who wants to be with me basically 24/7. Which is good until he sees a squirrel and wants to go tearing after it! Thus, the need for the fence! I looked into all sorts of fencing options, Continue reading...

How Weekly Meal Plans Can Better Serve You & Your Elderly Parents’ Diet

April 19, 2022 By Lauren

Healthy meal with Progresso Light Chicken Noodle Soup and stuffed peppers

*This is a guest post. People who juggle different roles in their lives can find it very hard to dedicate time to their elderly parents, who need constant care and attention. During the pandemic, many people quarantined themselves along with their elderly parents so that they could take care of them. But in certain scenarios, it almost becomes an impossible task that calls for external help. One of the most important parts of giving elderly care is meal-prep that suits an older adult’s dietary restrictions. For instance, it’s most likely that your elderly parents have diabetes or Continue reading...

Lokithor Emergency All-Around Tool Review

April 10, 2022 By Lauren

Lokithord J300

Thanks to Lokithor for providing me with the product reviewed in this post. This post contains Amazon affiliate links. Since our twins started college in the fall, my husband and I have been driving back and forth visiting them and picking them up for breaks and driving them back again. We live in New Jersey, and my husband says that he's put as much mileage on his car from these trips that it would take to drive from our home to the West Coast! That's a lot of driving. I haven't been able to accompany my husband on all the trips. I worry about him driving alone, especially to Continue reading...

Getting Stuff Organized After My Accident

January 31, 2022 By Lauren

I'm using a Lifewit large capacity storage bin to hold the things I need while I recuperate from my ankle surgery.

Sadly, I am off my feet again! Earlier this month, I went outside to walk my pup, Mochi, and slipped on a sheet of ice on the staircase leading into my home. I am now laid up with a broken ankle and have just over a week more of recuperation before I can put even just a little bit of weight on my foot. The first level of my home has become my sole living space. It's a little messy at the moment, but it will have to do. Read more to see how I'm managing and trying to get my life in order.
