“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for American Express. I received concert tickets and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.” Happy Monday, everyone! My family and I had a FANTASTIC weekend -- we went to Taylor Swift's 1989 concert together! The concert was a wonderful experience for us to share together -- the concert was my twin tween daughters' first concert. It was a big concert! We saw Taylor Swift's concert at the MetLife Stadium on Saturday, and it was packed with 50,000 fans! My family and I were lucky enough to receive the Continue reading...

Fun Activities for Summer #craftfrenzyfriday
#craftfrenzyfriday Hi, everyone! My kids and I have really been enjoying our summer vacation so far! How has your summer been! To kick summer into high gear, I'd thought I'd share some of my favorites from last Friday's Craft Frenzy Friday Party! My kids and I love ice cream, so I adore the recipe for homemade ice cream in a can by Home Cooking Memories! This recipe doesn't look very difficult to follow, and what's wonderful is that you don't need an ice cream maker to make homemade ice cream! Later this summer, I will be having bunion surgery and will be off my feet for several Continue reading...
Fluffy Snickerdoodle Recipe
#makeithappenbloghop My daughters and I just adore homemade snickerdoodles! They are light and fluffy and have a light dusting of cinnamon and sugar -- just delicious! We never used to make them before, but now that my daughters are tweens, they can make the snickerdoodles themselves! I just assemble the ingredients and do some minor supervising. I also put the cookie pans into the oven, but that's because I am an overprotective mom! My 12-year-old daughters are quite capable and could probably make the cookies themselves without my help! (Or maybe I should get them some extra long oven Continue reading...

Today is the third and final installment of this week's Summer Entertaining blog hop! Today, my blogging friend, Reesa of Momma Lew, shows how to make a DIY Mason Jar Citronella Candle. The candle is great for keeping those mosquitoes at bay so you can enjoy your summer nights! If there is one thing I never have on hand during the summer, it is citronella candles. My family and I love to sit outside and enjoy dinner during the summer months, but we do not love the bugs Continue reading...

Help for Sensitive Bladders
*Disclosure: “I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Always Discreet. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.” #PeeHappens There are so many changes as a woman ages. I am in my upper 40s, and since I've hit my 40s, I've noticed some new things in my life. I still am a night owl, but now that I am older, I can't spring back from those late nights as easily as I used to! I've also developed a low thyroid condition, so I tend to have a little less energy and have practically no Continue reading...

Get Healthy and Go Outdoors with Girl Scouts
#ad Disclosure: * I was compensated for this post as part of the Together Counts/Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital campaign that I am participating in for the Mom It Forward Blogger Network. #healthyhabits I was a Girl Scout when I was in elementary school. Girl Scouts was a fantastic experience for me! I got to know a lot of other great girls, and went on some fun camping trips -- I probably would have never gone camping were it not for Girl Scouts! So when my twin daughters became old enough for Girl Scouts, I signed up as a co-leader of their Daisy Girl Scout Troop and led a Girl Scout Continue reading...
