Scary Toaster Oven Fire and How I Put Out the Flames
My kids and I were having a normal Tuesday night yesterday when I decided to heat up a taco shell and have a second taco for dinner. I put the taco shell into my convection toaster oven, set the timer, and stepped away to my computer (just feet away) to reply to an email. Before I knew it, I smelled burning, and there was a fire raging in my toaster oven! That convection toaster oven has been burning things since the first day we owned it, but I never suspected that it could be such a fire hazard! I should have known not to turn my back on that toaster oven! It's been nothing Continue reading...

Free Printable Chore Charts
If you have kids, you might be thinking about giving them allowance. If so, the new year is a great time to get a chore chart in place and to figure out how you would like to reward your children for completing chores. My tweens have been wanting an allowance, so I created a chore chart for them earlier this school year. “Frozen” Inspired Winter Monogram Wreath
It's snowing outside, and winter is definitely here in New Jersey! To celebrate this chilly season, I created a fun winter monogram wreath inspired by the movie, "Frozen!" I made the wreath for a good friend of mine. I wanted to make something special for my friend, since like Anna was there for Elsa, my friend has been there for me in times of need! I share decorating tips and projects once a month at the Ask Anna blog, so you can find the full tutorial on how to make this simple but beautiful wreath at Ask Anna. In the meantime, I hope you all stay warm! This project was shared at: Continue reading...

Mini Korean Bibimbap Bowls
Thank you to Minute® Ready to Serve Rice for sponsoring this post and helping me to make a healthy snack for my kids that they love! Happy 2015, everyone! My husband is of Korean heritage, and he, my kids and I love to eat Korean food! We love everything from kalbi (grilled and marinated beef) to chop chae (mixed vegetables with beef and noodles). Korean food is a highly savory and flavorful food, so it's no surprise that it's become popular in international fusion foods like Korean tacos! (Korean tacos is another family favorite.) My kids love to eat Korean dishes Continue reading...
Give Your Bathroom a Quick Clean
“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Scrubbing Bubbles®. I received product samples and a promotional item to thank me for participating.” I don’t enjoy cleaning my home, and the thing I like the least is cleaning the bathrooms. In fact, I will only clean a bathroom if I can shower immediately after! I tend to clean the bathroom first thing in the morning. Even if I wear gloves while cleaning, I don’t feel clean after cleaning the bathroom. So, I like to clean the bathroom a few times a week before I shower, so the bathroom doesn’t get too dirty!
