All opinions are mine alone. #BlueLizardSummer #CollectiveBias Once summer hits, my family and I love to enjoy the sunny weather in our backyard. We play bocce and croquet together, read in the backyard or by our patio pond, and enjoy meals on the patio. Although we love to take in the warm summer sun, I always provide protection for me and my family from the sun's harmful rays. A lot of people forget to protect themselves from the sun when playing or relaxing close to home. Sure, we bring Continue reading...

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #MySpringClean #TeamSponge #CollectiveBias Many of you know I have been working to update my home's kitchen. My biggest kitchen project so far has been painting my kitchen's oak cabinets white. I am only about halfway done, but I am loving how my "new" painted white oak cabinets look! There are fixes I'd love for the kitchen -- like adding a tile backsplash, updating the floors, replacing the countertops and installing a beautiful farmhouse sink. So I'm excited to share with you Continue reading...

12 Months of Goals — Master Bedroom Refresh
This post contains Amazon affiliate links. If you click on an Amazon link and make a purchase, I earn a small fee that helps to keep this blog running. Thanks! Once a month, I get together with my blogging friend, Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom, and we both set an achievable goal to work towards during the month. The last time I updated my home's master bedroom was March 2015, so it could use a new look. This is what my Continue reading...
DIY Hot or Cold Eye Mask
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #MoreMomentsWithExcedrin #CollectiveBias I’ve been getting headaches ever since I was a kid. The type I get are pounding migraines that ruin my day. My headaches are often triggered by stress – or when I don’t take the time to eat and take in enough fluids. (When I need to get work done, I often forget meals.) That’s when I reach for Excedrin® Migraine, which works best for my headaches. I got one of those headaches the day of my sister’s wedding shower. I spent months Continue reading...
May Stitch Fix Box Reveal
Just yesterday I received my May Stitch Fix box. I was excited to open it! I had ordered an April Stitch Fix box, but upon returning everything in my box, Stitch Fix offered to waive the styling fee for a new box. (The fee is $20, and is waived if you purchase an item from the box). So I decided to give Stitch Fix another go! I loved everything in my first Stitch Fix Box in November 2015, so I was hoping I'd be happy with my new Stitch Fix box. Stitch Fix is a great service for non shoppers like me. You fill out a profile and describe your fashion needs and likes, and they Continue reading...
Chicken, Avocado & Strawberry Salad
Welcome to this month’s Taste Creations Linkup blog hop, where we will be sharing our salad recipes! The Taste Creations blog hop happens on the 1st Monday of Every Month at 7am PST / 10 a.m. EST. I love to serve main dish salads for dinner when the weather starts to warm up. A favorite ingredient I like to add are slices of fresh avocado! I’ve also found that adding pre-cooked rotisserie chicken from the supermarket to a fresh salad is a delicious and time-saving way to create a healthy and delicious dinner. So, recently I created a main dish salad for my family with slices of Continue reading...
