My daughters were off from school on spring break last week. We had a great time together and traveled to see local sights and did some hiking. But by Friday, we were tired out! So we planned a fun day at home and shared some fondue together! This recipe is part of this month's Taste Creations blog hop, where my blogging friends and I will be sharing recipes using dark chocolate! The Taste Creations Linkup happens on the 1st Monday of Every Month at 6 a.m. EST. Check out the links to my friend's dark chocolate recipes at the end of this post! 6 Family-Friendly Recipes
My tween daughters love all sorts of cuisines from all around the world. In fact, as soon as one of my daughters could crawl, she was known to steal Korean food off her grandmother's plate instead of eating the perfectly regular American-style toddler food that was reserved for her. But even the pickiest of kids can be enticed to enjoy food from around the world if the recipes are right! I co-host the Craft Frenzy Friday and the Motivation Monday linky parties, and I noticed that there was a great mix of international cuisines linked up this week! So I picked six favorites that I Continue reading...

Classic Guacamole Recipe
My family and I love enjoying homemade guacamole together. Luckily, it's so easy to make guacamole! For fresh guacamole, all you need are a few fresh ingredients: avocados, cilantro, a little bit of lime juice, and a dash of salt. That's all you need! The hardest part of making fresh guacamole is waiting for the avocados to ripen! Avocados are usually hard and not yet ripe when I buy them in the store, so I usually purchase them a few days before I plan to make the guacamole. I've been told by friends that if I place the avocados in a paper bag and store it on the top of the fridge Continue reading...
Easy Weeknight Chili
During the school week, one of the simplest and quickest meals that I love to make is easy weeknight chili. The recipe is so simple to make that it's almost not even a recipe. But this recipe sure does make a good bowl of chili! Easy Weeknight Chili Recipe Ingredients (serves 4) To make this super easy chili, all you need is a handful of ingredients: Chili 1 lb ground beef 1 15 oz. can kidney beans 1 16 oz. jar salsa (I either use mild or medium) 1 packet taco seasonings 1 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon dried oregano leaves 1 Continue reading...
After-School Frozen Banana Bites
My tween daughters always make me smile -- especially when they come home with stellar report cards! To celebrate their hard work, I decided to do something extra sweet and fun for them. So, a few hours before they came home from school one day, I popped some sliced bananas into the freezer so the kids and I could prepare some fun and delicious frozen banana bites together when they got home from school! I sliced the pointed tips off my bananas so the banana pieces would be flat on both the top and the bottom. Just before my kids were due to walk through the door, I Continue reading...

Hey, everyone! Hope you are enjoying the weekend! Welcome to Motivation Monday, a fun place to share inspiration, crafts, recipes and DIY projects! I can't wait to see what everyone has to share this week! This week, I shared how I potted some tulip, daffodil and other bulbs so I can force them to bloom indoors! I am very excited, because I've noticed that shoots are already sprouting from my pots. You can find out more in my post about how to force bulbs. I also shared some really awesome looking breakfast recipes that were shared in earlier Motivation Monday and Continue reading...

Six Tasty Breakfast Recipes
I make my kids breakfast bright and early every weekday morning at 6:30 a.m. At that early in the morning, it can be hard for my brain to function enough to figure out what to cook! I often make my daughters grilled cheese sandwiches for breakfast. Recently, I added a new flavor to their grilled cheese sandwiches by adding some pepper jack cheese and fresh basil. We love it. As you may know, I co-host the Craft Frenzy Friday and Motivation Monday parties. I love co-hosting those parties, because it helps me to get to know other bloggers and to enjoy all their great ideas! I Continue reading...
